Title? Where did you replace the solenoid pack in this video? Only saw you take out valve body!
@cj360trider2 жыл бұрын
Solenoid pack is self explanatory after you get the vb out. Use the new pack to determine which boots you need to remove. Pretty simple. If it's out of your comfort zone, pay someone who is capable of doing it.

I'ma agree with this person. ^ People don't watch How To videos to see "it's self explanatory" from the person doing the video. What. Thanks for what you did show, but huge no thanks on the title versus what was shown and what you went over.

Hello, I was wondering if you have a video where you do a refurbish service to the solenoid pack (using the seals kit available on ebay as an instance) instead of replacing the pack
@cj360trider6 ай бұрын
No, replacing the pack is the most economical option. That's what I do.

Oh I had another question must you reset the computer cause replacing the shift solenoid on my 07 jeep commander 4.7L?
@cj360trider3 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily but it won't hurt. Although you may need to take it a shop to have a relearn done on it, as usually only the higher quality scanners can do that. Relearn would the same as resetting it as you refer to it.

Do you know what tools are required to rebuild the 545rfe?
@cj360trider9 ай бұрын
Yep, mostly common tools but you'll need a press to get a few springs compressed to safely take them apart. You also need a dial indicator to properly set up the OD clutches

I got a 2003 Dodge Durango I have transmission problems what it does it cranks up good when it's cold but when you start driving it come home and put it in park and shut the key off then you got to go somewhere again while it's warm you turn the key won't crank it's going into reverse light but you let it cool down it'll go back in the park will it be causing that
@cj360trider3 жыл бұрын
Unless you have a rubbed thru wire the switches and sensors that control everything you stated are in the solenoid pack. That's what I'd change first. Buy OEM, aftermarkets are known problems.

Doesn’t seem that hard, I wish I had a better obd scanner to see the torque converter rpm’s because I’m just about to dive in and try this on mine. Let’s say I’m driving at 15mph(which is all my truck can do right now) and I hit a small incline, my rpm’s don’t change, I might slow down a little but my rpm’s remain the same which makes me think the clutch is still good. Went to a mechanic last week and tried talking to him. His response: “no you’re wasting your time and money you need a new transmission” which is 4k….
@cj360trider2 жыл бұрын
Converter rpm IS engine rpm. Trans input will differ from engine and trans output
@cj360trider2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you're in limp mode. Last one I looked at this way had a tipm failure that cut all electrical power to the transmission. I don't know where you're at but proper diag will save you lots of money in parts you may not actually need.
@lescobrandon81622 жыл бұрын
@@cj360trider appreciate that, I haven’t started yet, I just replaced some fuses and relays today but no luck. I’ve read about the tipm and am going to look into that next, I’ve read just some dielectric grease on the pins could solve the problem, if I go with a new one will I NEED to go get it programmed? Thanks for your help
@lescobrandon81622 жыл бұрын
Also, Upon first starting I’ll have first AND second gear but when I shift into second for the first time about 10 seconds later I think it drops back down to first then my rpm’s will kick up and that’s when I slow down to 15mph or so.

It’s weird too, I’ve had problems with lights staying on even though I turn everything off, I’ve gone through 3 fuses for my radio, my cigarette lighter fuse is out again, I’ve gone to start my truck..nothing.. wait 2 mins, it starts, same thing with cranking, it’ll crank but nothing, wait 2 mins it starts… my friend said check my ground wires. Literally watched this just to see how to drain the pan and you skipped to when it’s already off
@cj360trider3 жыл бұрын
I have a fluid evacuator that I lower the level with so it doesn't make such a mess but I recommend a trans pan funnel for a drain pan. Its about a 2 foot square funnel and will catch pretty much all of your fluid. Unless the pan has a drain plug it's going to be messy
