55 Chevy A Pillar Repair

Took a little break for archery deer season, now I'm back wrapping up the inner A Pillar structural repair and fitting up the new lower pillar to rocker panel patch. Also, swapping the captive nuts from the old lower pillar to the new metal (time lapse missing on that due to not hitting record). Enjoy!

Sorry I didn't catch your name..I will keep your dad in my daily prayers. I lost my dad to cancer 17 years ago last month. Have faith that at the end of time we will see our loved ones again. I enjoy watching your restoration progress.

I didn’t buy new ones, I just removed the old ones by bending the tabs then transferred to the new panel and hammered the tabs back down to install them. I thinks you can get them from Mar-K though.

Is that a replacement A pillar? Who sells them if it is? Thanks

It is a replacement A Pillar. Just about any tri-five repair panel seller has them. Classic Industries, Real Deal Steel, and sometimes I grab stuff off of ebay. 55-56 should be identical. 57 has a different door jamb switch cutout for the dome light but can be made to work if 55-56 isn’t in stock.
