55 Cozy Country Kitchen Ideas

Some great ideas, thanks! I'm 75 and have had my share of white kitchens, but when it comes to farmhouse or cottage kitchens I like them warm and cozy looking even in the summer months! The kitchen I have now is in a 19th century carriage house. I call it my English cottage with cross beams in the kitchen/living room, a wood burning stove and fireplace, big picture windows and brick! Along with knotty pine hutches and cabinets with black wrough iron hinges and wooden plank floors! The sink is set into a brick alcove as is the stainless steel double door fridge! My art studio is part of it as I've been a professional artist/illustrator for over 50 years! The place lends itself for great gardens and there are old very tall pine trees around. I like some of the rustic look of a farmhouse. But I like some of the modern cabinet work that can blend with the old. One thing I do like is the vent-a-hood and stove have a brick back wall with some work space on both side of the stove. Check our some ideals from DIY.

Virtually all of them must have a separate pantry space. Unless you can accommodate a dedicated area for food storage, these kitchens seem terribly impractical and strike me as much more for show than for utilitarianism.
