1000 Британских солдат это вся мировая сила? Я про первое сражение в опиумной войне когда 1000 британцев выиграла десятки тысяч китайцев. В самой войне кстати на стороне Британии было 3000 человек, а на стороне Китая 660 тысяч человек и Китай проиграл. Просто в первой опиумной войне этого хватило чтобы Китай проиграл. И, да первая опиумная война длилась 3 года, а завоевание раздробленного Китая у монголов заняло 79 лет, а это почти век. Британцы же успели приплыть со своих островов и ещё разбить китайцев. Насчёт Ост Индии, от неё было всего 1000 солдат и она не в счёт, 1600 было из ирландских полков, а остальное смешанное, 220 камерунцев, 200 человек из артиллерийского полка. Даже взятие власти манжьжурам заняло 39 лет, это почти пол века и в 13 раз дольше чем у британцев. И это при условии, что манжьжурам можно сказать почти и не сопротивлялись и тот же Пекин сдали можно сказать без боя. А война китайского Цзинь с Хунну длилась добрую тысячу лет. Вторая опиумная война длилась 4 года, всего на 1 год дольше первой. В общем надеюсь, что это была сарказм и шуточки, так как сравнивать такие вещи странно.

У китайцев были гладкоствлёные ружья которые имели малый радиус атаки, не более 200 метров, а британцы использовали нарезные ружья которые стреляли вплоть до нескольких километров и по сути британцы могли расстреливать китайцев с кораблей, а китайцам ответить нечего, пока подходят трижды проиграть и быть убитыми успеют, а британцы могут паралельно отходить и стрелять, так как они на кораблях. Насчёт оккупации и необходимости для этого ополчений. Я бы не стал называть эдакую *полицию* войсками поэтому фактически Британия могла захватить Китай и десятком тысяч человек, а на оккупированной зоне действуют не совсем военные, скорее как вы выразились ополченцы, временная полу военная структура по удержанию территории и для наблюдения за соблюдением порядка и правил государства захватчика на оккупационной зоне, в нашем случае в Китае. Надеюсь мои утверждения не прозвучали слишком грубо по отношению к вам, я не собирался таким образом выражаться, надеюсь на понимание.

Your summary seems incomplete. I don’t know the other languages but English talks about a peaceful day with the flags fluttering in the wind. The sound of drums and bugles in the distance scaring everyone away. Then the Empress of China signals to start the attack, the task to drive out the foreigners. They attack the foreign embassies with all of their might. Ending with the fact that this isn’t a topic that gains much attention anymore but the effects of the event being significant even today.
