Hey, I just picked up a tank that looks just like this. I painted the back of it black and painted the stand black as well. I was wanting to install a sump and was worried about the minimal space underneath. Do you have links or anything to the aquariums you used for the sump? Or have a video on how to connect them together?

KAE Official yeah it was a good deal - the house was really ghetto but I didn’t get kidnapped so that’s a good thing. If you are having no luck with craigslist you could try letgo or offerup

@dominoot26524 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend a 55 for a beginner?
@jordancrocker9393 жыл бұрын
Yes, larger tanks are better. Reason is, more = water parameters don’t change as fast as in small tanks,
@crashcourseaquatics93222 жыл бұрын
The larger you go, the more expensive. But at the same time easier to maintain and you have more options

Can you use a fluval canister filter for a same size saltwater aquarium??(I’m not planning on putting coral on my tank)
@ChewysBro5 жыл бұрын
Generally canister filters are not recommended for saltwater but I’m sure you could
@traceyxxrose74542 жыл бұрын
Yes . You can definitely use a canister filter. You can even use a hang on the back filter! (if you don’t have corals that’ is, and the filters are rated for a bit larger than the tank you’re running it on) people need to stop saying you can only use sumps and trying to scare people away from the saltwater hobby. It’s not as scary as the saltwater Snobs will make it seem. Not all saltwater hobbyists are saltwater snobs, but there are def a fair amount out there who will try and make it seem like you need to be a biochemist with thousands of dollars worth of high tech equipment to run a saltwater tank. This simply isn’t the case. Should you run a hang on the back on a 150 gallon tank? No. But if you’re new to saltwater you can def run a canister or hang on the back for a 55/75 gal tank, and spend your money on an RO machine and power heads instead.
@richardkassebaum4578 Жыл бұрын
Yes, you absolutely can run a canister filter. There are many very successful marine tanks running in canisters.
@crinklymoss5267 Жыл бұрын
i agree if you dont plan on coral hob or canister is the way to go. you even have hob protein skimmers. i have a 40 gal hob and a power head and abunch of softies and lps and there doing great.

Wjhar about evaporation? In saltwater tanks evaporation is dangerous as it can drastically increase the salinity in your tank.
