Unsecured loads on the freeway are no joke. This area just saw the death of a woman who ran over a mattress and lost control of her car. A few years ago a young woman was blinded when a piece of plywood flew through her windshield and struck her in the face.

I remember that case vividly--Maria Federicci. I was working for Boeing in Seattle back then and was on my way home from work when the whole highway was shut down. The board was a shelf that came flying out of an entertainment unit in the back of someone's truck. The cops said if it had came at her at a slightly more neutral angle she would have been decapitated. The doctors did a remarkable job of reconstruction-she looked pretty good though totally different. Bit they couldn't save her sight. Always haunted me, thinking she was in her way home from work too at the time and probably on autopilot and it was literally the last thing she ever saw.

Years ago, there was a woman who wore a red bra and panties while walking along the berm on I-70 in Pennsylvania between Washington and Bentlyville. I saw her a couple times walking in the dark. On one of those occasions, I almost rear-ended another truck which had stopped to offer her a ride. On another, I was in the old truckstop at Bentleyville. Sitting at a window table, I saw her, this time topless, standing in the middle of the intersection while road crews were rebuilding the highway. Shortly thereafter, a PA State Trooper took her away and according to the people working in the restaurant, back to some home for the deranged. She obviously had issues, but Lord have mercy, she was absolutely gorgeous.

The trailer/boat on top of the pickup is being delivered. The driver would have had one a trailer being towed to it's delivery point. That one has been dropped off already. When they get to their next stop, they'll drive under an overhead crane/rail, run straps under the trailer/boat lift it free, then drive the truck out from under it, before sitting the trailer/boat down on the ground. It was loaded at the start point the same way, using a crane lift.

the trailer on top of the pickup truck is a method to avoid expensive tolls where you are charged by the axle.......I am guessing its a form of protest, as it wasnt easy to get all that up there and safely bolted down for transport.....

I suspect a bad iron casting. LOTS of torque if one locks up the brakes. And if the casting had an unseen void in it, that torque could snap it like that.

They were doing a brake test, the tractor is fitted with front wheel braking and ABS, the idea was that they'd go fast and jump on the brakes on the wet tarmac to see how long it would take to stop. Unfortunately it seems the traction on the front wheels was far greater than they thought meaning the amount of torque generated twisted the front axle and snapped the casting that holds it! Shouldn't happen though, poor design or bad quality components.

First video is not a fuel truck! That's a sludge puppy! Been there done that! One pumps solid waste from a poop storage lagoon into the tanker, then you drive out into fields or forests to apply said sludge as a fertilizer for the soil. This is the messy way. Our team used equipment with fire hose monitors to spray the poop rather than puke out the top. Our lagoons also had hot dog byproduct slime stuff mixed in. Yup, made the whole area smell like hot dogs when we spread that grease out. I actually loved that job too!

Given the sandy road in the foreground, I still think it's hot oil or tar, with the heater having malfunctioned (or never set correctly, given the tanker looks shiny-new) and over-heated. I suspect they were trying to make a road, and wound up with an accidental cul-de-sac.
