When I viewed the LG 55EC930V in store it was playing the LG demo disc and it looked very impressive until it came to the architecture scenes that had close parallel lines. These were shimmering and moving along these edges, much like I remember from the days of SD TV. Perhaps it was just a case of the wrong (too much) sharpness being applied but it did not show the TV off to it's best. Also the TV had noise reduction that could not be turned fully off and for True HD content this can't be a good idea. It just robs detail from the picture. I wonder if the 910V is similarly afflicted or has it been tweaked ?

+Alex Young Hi Alex, I have the EC at home and haven't spotted the 'architecture' problems yet. Obviously, the EG is newer tech and old issues are being addressed with each new model release. In our opinion, the EG performs as well or better than the EC. It really is a fantastic telly with an amazing picture. Hope this helps.

+Marks Electrical Hi, There could be a number of reasons as to why you haven't seen the issue. Possibly the sharpness settings or the fact that I was close to the screen. I don't know if LG still use that demo disk but for anyone really appraising the TV it stood out a mile. I am waiting for a good price on a flat screen OLED and then I will jump in.

+Wayne Harris Hi Wayne, usually, I would say go for 4K over HD but throw OLED into the equation and it changes everything. For us, OLED displays are simply the best. Can't we tempt you with a 4K OLED? Haha.

+Canja T. Hi Canja, the picture on the 920V is the best we have ever seen. You really need to pop down to your local store to see it. Judder wasn't apparent on either and speed blur could be seen on extreme movement but it was never intrusive. These really are amazing Tvs.

The KS is newer technology iksic, so that is on its side. It also has greater brightness levels and is 4K and HDR capable too. BUT we love LGs WebOS interface and OLEDs perfect blacks and great viewing angles. Now if you asked us about the EG920V, the Samsung would have a tougher fight.

Hello, could you help me to decide with the following inputs . EG930 1815 euros against EC910 1605 euros. The main difference between the 2 TV is related to the sound, 910 is equiped with 2x20w and 930 with 2x10w. According to the remote control also, 910 is delivered with only one instead 2 with 930. Hi Tulip146, the EG is the newer technology of the two so it should really have the edge. However, we prefer the stand on the EC and you really would find it hard to see a difference in screen image quality between the two. If you can afford it though, the EG920 is 4K and takes the picture to a whole new level. Hope this helps. We measured 49ms on this model PlaystationQUAD-Pro, so not the best. BUT the incredible picture more than makes up for it. We have had lots of gamer customers who bought this Tv and they are over the moon with it.

Hi Sofiane nemer, It was a great TV 3 years ago and if you can find it at a reduced price it's certainly still worth getting. OLED TVs really are very good.

+sennety Hi Sennety, the EG has the advantage of being a 2015 model. We agree about the design and to be honest, I would be working very hard to spot any difference between them picture wise. Under the skin there may be tweeks to the newer model and WebOS has small additions. Either way you would be investing in a Tv that will keep surprising you with its fantastic picture. (I know because I have the EC as my main telly.) Hope this helps. PS. Please buy it from us.

+Anurag Reggie Hope you mean the other way round Anurag Reggie. The 920 is 4K and the 910 is 1080P HD. Both great Tvs but the 920 has 4 times more resolution. So we think it is worth the extra. Hope this helps.

I have a samsung bluray player and an LG one, both are connected to my server for watching movies, however the LG constantly will not show many of the films in the menu directory, let alone play them. Hi There, Have the issues from the 55EC930v been resolved in this model. From memory one of the issues was things like yellow and or green tints on white backgrounds.

+Paul C Hi Paul, this is news to us about these issues at the studio. My main Tv at home is the EC930 and I haven't had a single problem with it. We have seen no issues on the LG OLEDs in our reviews and, for us, tellies don't come any better for picture quality.
