Fairline is quickly becoming my favorite yacht. Just the thought that goes into making things as practical as possible, designing pieces to serve more than just one function, and super high quality, and well designed, interiors. Great vid as always Nick! Also, the only reason I see for the 2 sun shades for the "living room" skylight is redundancy. Those things get UV damaged quickly. By having 2, you can still shut out the blazing sun when one inevitably dries out and cracks into little pieces.

I think this boat is just about the minimum spec I'd ever want, with so much space and all the essential features - decently appointed galley, lounge area tucked away downstairs, everything accessible. The best part is always when a builder uses all the available storage space, with those cool little cubby holes, though!

Hi Nick, re-watched this one this morning. These are gorgeous boats, no doubt. Are you able to answer a couple of questions? First, I am curious how waterproof these fabric roof sections are. How do they hold up in heavy rain or snowfall accumulation? Second question is around food storage. Boat builders put all these cool specialty cupboards in place for bins, crockery, glassware etc. That’s all great, but… Where does one store the pots and pans, the serving bowls, the air fryer, and dry food? Bags of chips and goodies, crackers and biscuits, and snacks alone take up an amazing amount of space. This boat has a small fridge/freezer,and very little cupboard space. If one was heading out for even a 3 day trip with 4 people they would likely be overwhelmed by food storage needs. I realize there are cupboards all around the lower seating area, but in most boats those are filled up with games, books, and other clobber. Are boat builders missing out on this practical need for food storage in favour of voluminous sleeping accommodation? In the end, practicality is more important. It would be an interesting experiment to take a week of groceries for 4 to 6 people, and try to put it all away aboard a boat like this. I had a similar sized boat (39 footer) and had the same struggles. And to be clear, this Fairline is simply stunning and gorgeous. My questions are general for all boats really.

It's as waterproof as any other cockpit canopy. 🙂

I love this boat. I don't think it's quite big enough for a live aboard, but it's much much more than a weekender. What a fantastic place to spend a couple weeks (or months!) in some warm, blue water place. About the only thing I'd change would be to try to find a way to squeeze a chiller in there somewhere.
@andysprunt90588 ай бұрын
Have to say the way they’ve made use of the space is unreal. With galley and saloon area as big as it is plus the head and forward cabin I wasn’t expecting to see a rear cabin at all. Stunning and at that price point amazing. I’d love to see you review a Galeon 435 GTO….. like another comment if I win the lottery that’s what I’d go for.

If you get the chance this summer it would be interesting to see you do a comparison video with previous generations of the Targa 40. It would highlight just how much progress there’s been over the years. At the same time it would show people without the budget for a new 40 just what they could get for their money in the secondhand market. For a lot of people, particularly in the U.K. a T40 of some sort is a (just maybe possible) dream boat.

Really nice boat. For personal taste and bumbling locally ( France and back) a nicely thought out spec. Just right size for relatively easy owner helming and family days/ weeks. Definitely one near the top of the shopping list. Nice tour Nick thanks.

A very well thought out design, not the biggest boat but very functional. I know there’s only one head but it makes sense. There’s nothing over complicated and it seems someone had their sensible head on when they designed it. A decent size garage for the dinghy which is a bit unusual but makes sense. To sum up it’s a cracker of a boat and will put a smile on your face, I wonder what happened to the Champagne? Staggeringly great boat for the price. Is there an option to trade some of that cockpit space for a galley aft, and get 2/3 more berths in downstairs instead?

Nope, just the standard layout
