$550 Reseller Mystery Box with 200 Items - Was it Worth it?! Our Biggest Thrifting Haul!

We bought 200 items for $550 to resell but was it worth it?

We ended up only keeping half of the haul to resell.. The rest just isn't worth our time nor space. Our business model is revolved around a high sell-through rate (high demand which leads to a quicker sale) and a profit of MINIMUM $10. Half of the items in these mystery bags did not fulfill one or both of these requirements. We don't want to waste time on items that don't sell.
With that said, even with only keeping half the items, we'll still make a good profit, just not as much as we'd hope...

I've done it a few times with great success, but White clothes it works best with. But soak that Mickey Sweatshirt in a bucket with hot water and some Oxi Clean powder. I got a haul from my Aunt and Uncle this past summer and it had a couple of those vintage Taco Bell Chihuahua Dog shirts and both appeared to have had their Taco Bell spilled on the shirts. After soaking 4 hours all stains came out and without knowing I'd bet those stains had been on them shirts for 20 years.

Great tip!!! We have to get better at soaking our stuff w stains for sure! I actually ended up cropping (and thus cutting off most of the stains lol) the mickey sweatshirt and kept it for myself 😅

They didn’t it’s fake. I’ve sold thousands of items on eBay I spend 6 hours a day sourcing. I’ve seen lots like this sell for thousands of dollars. And yiur telling me some smart reseller gave this away for 2 dollars an item 😂. Unless they did this to give them content it’s fake man.

The point of wholesale is that you’re allocating your time and resources to just processing and listing instead of sourcing and that’s why you pay more per piece. This was an incredibly successful box for your average item cost. If you spent the probably days worth of time to source these yourself you likely would pay more per item and definitely wouldn’t get this much volume all at once for the price you paid. The point of wholesale isn’t for “bangers,” it’s to fill your store with bread and butter for a low cost and low effort output to keep your listing algorithm happy. This was a 9/10 wholesale box I hope you guys can see that!

$5 is what you guys normally pay at Goodwill so the fact you didn’t have to spend time and money to source this seems like a good haul. How long would it take you to source 106 items at Goodwill? Seems like you are going to make a good profit.

Very true!! Would take us maybe 1.5-2 months! Great input and would have to agree. We were just a bit disappointed in the 100 items we didn’t keep as it felt like such a waste 😅

We meet this reseller multiple times and then one day he asked if we’d like to buy his inventory as he specializes in books! So pure coincidence and luck, and we’be bought multiple hauls from him since 👌🏼 And yes, appreciate your insight into our haul, would have to agree 👆🏼

With Mickey You can try white vinegar & baking soda paste or white vinegar with salt (plain no iodine) first & sit over night. You can also try oxiclean! Great video!!

Ohhh have actually heard of this before but never tried it!! 👏🏼 I ended up cropping it and kept it for myself 🤣 Now there’s no more stains on the lower front haha, but I’ll try out your method on other items for sure!!! Thank you!

I live in ML!! Just google “How to get old stains out of ______fabric. Scroll past the brand name stain removers to look for home remedies. It supplies are cheap & extremely effective. I just learned peroxide is great for plant base stains & blood (sometimes it take 2-3 applications). Just be Sure to rise the fabric throughly. I had a really nice lamb skin peplum jacket. When I was listing the jacket I found a oil stain the size of a nickel. I was heartbroken. I googled it & it suggested talc powder or corn starch overnight. I had great doubts it would work but I had nothing to lose & to my amazement it worked. I really enjoy your videos but you truly helping people.

The Cleveland Browns t-shirt looks to be a Salute to Service shirt and sometimes those can do ok. Doesnt help that the Browns just lost in the playoffs though. lol.

Never seen bags like this with a high sell through rate and such a high roi. I’ve sourced for years this is fake. No reseller would sell you this for this cheap. I’ve seen lots like this go for thousands. We are talking good sell throughs man not just a low cost of goods.

We’ll take this as a good thing???? It’s real though lol the reseller (who specializes in books and thus has no interest in clothes) has a rly good sourcing setup (we’re talking…. REALLY good setup…) and he basically makes almost whatever we pay him, as the stuff he gets is almost free 😁

Like i said I’ve been sourcing for ten years have thousands of reviews on my eBay. This is not real. No person is going to sell you high sell through with high roi items for two dollars a piece. 😂 and you expect me to believe you someone who’s been sourcing for over ten years. Unless he’s running a charity and wants to give your wife a good deal for the videos that’s different. If he’s some simp that wants to be a fanboy ok that makes sense. That’s not reality my guy. lol you couldn’t be anymore wrong. There is opportunity out there to get deals like this. You just have to network and make connections. This haul is REAL and we don’t get this deal because of some fanboy. He gets clothes practically free from his source and then for a quick flip offloads them to us instead of spending hours listing and photographing.
