Welcome back to the Metal Detecting NYC channel. New vlog is here! The Klayzer GR Pro is wildly different.....COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than any other metal detecting technology that you have ever seen. It is an electroscope metal detector for long range treasure seeking and a sophisticated VLF machine for traditional hunting. The concept is that the long range electroscope helps you walk in the direction that there is the greatest treasure and then you detect it the traditional way with a VLF metal detector and coil. The device itself looks like something out of a Sean Connery era James Bond movie. It is some innovative and artsy German tech! The electroscope metal detector has some similarities to dowsing rods. For $5500 dollars, it can be yours! - Merrill

When I was about 10 years old the 15 foot spring fed well on our farm dried in the drought of 1952-3. We had to borrow milk cannisters from the local dairy farm and go up a mountain to fill them from a pure spring tributary..Mr Nichols our neighbor said to my grandfather"Don"t worry Mike,I will locate a well site for you with water......so he proceeded to cut a forked or Y shaped branch from a peach tree.my father,grandfather and myself went with Mr Nichols ,he grasped the 2 top branches of the Y and started to scan the ground about 3 feet high......suddenly the straight bottom portion of the branch nosedived to the ground and Mr Nichols said to my grandfather "there is water here Mike".....my Father looked at me and smiled,assuming something fishy.....Mr Nichols said "john,come hold my wrists and we will try it again"....and bingo it happened again.My father said to me "you won't believe this".....so I grasped both of Mr Nichols wrists and we started to scan over the same spot........damn,the branch violently nosedived to the same spot....I attest that Mr Nichol's wrists and hands did not budge a fraction of an inch.....after a test drilling water was found at that spot but did not have enough pressure to drill a deep well....but a spot was located nearby that was perfect.........no doubt I am a believer.....both my father and I tried a shot with the same branch.and nothing happened.......Mr Nichols told us it was a gift he had and it would only work with a branch from a peach tree

My stepfather hired a guy to find a well and he used 2 L shaped metal rods, he found a spot and told us the spot has 2 veins, one at 12m depth and one at 18m, low and behold after drilling 12m water started to emerge and at 18m the water shot out like those oil wells in the movies

As a tech guy, long range detection of metal underground can only work by Electromagnetic Radiation, vibration/sound or if ferromagnetic targets, magnetic fields or distortion of the earth’s field can be detected at several metres or more by sensitive magnetic sensors. Detectors could use radio waves, microwaves, light waves, gamma rays or sound waves for instance. Devices can be remote controlled so it is possible to fool people with RC motor control. Also Magicians fool people all the time. Prior knowledge can be used to remote control the device. Dowsing rods work by detecting dips or bumps in the ground where water or pipes are. But I use LIDAR to do the same and could use Ground Penetrating Radar. However there are scientific theories about entanglement but no scientific proof that humans entangled with treasure or water etc can detect it. The dowser in the film could see the water and copper pipe and I could see his arms move. Personally I would be very wary. What is the theory?

This one is particularly bad on the 'informative' side of things. Specifically, dowsing has been conclusively debunked and has been shown to be without scientific merit. Also, long range metal detectors do not work and are a total scam. The fact he is giving legitimacy to these is a massive disservice to the metal detecting community.

Special lens on modern camera or old SX-70 Polaroid can detect frequencies not seen by human eyes. Gold and silver has been found in past by taking pictures after dusk, low light, in suspect areas. Trace lines or marks will be found in developed film indicating elements ions being emanating that affects the surrounding air. This was even demonstrated long ago with the old style box cameras with film plates, and sample targets buried in rear yard. Even dogs , such as German Shepard or Basset hounds have been trained to find lost coins. Their nose is 1000 times stronger than ours, and can differentiate smells easily. They don't like the taste of the "metal" coins, but can locate them in parks, etc. People going for walks after dusk have seen small - glowing lights in woods and along dirt trails. This indicates silver/gold ions emanating from coins/bars going upwards causing the air to glow .Put stake or pile of stones as marker, then go back later again with metal detector. See also paperback book- Diamonds In The Surf.

I believe they were Greek. Greeks have been working for years with German companies to develop long range gold locating devices because of the amount of buried gold statues and hoards of ancient coins. OKM is a German company that actually builds some detecting equipment that has made some incredible discoveries. They have a system or detector model called the Rover. They can image the ground in real time. When I showed this to my wife I got the almost exact response except it was well sell your boat and you can buy another one to hang on the wall SMH (but honey the stripe bass are migrating down they're already at Montauk point, no not the boat lol) But back to OKM they do a lot of searching the mountain in Greece for boxes of gold the Nazi's hid to fun Greek gorilla fighters. They did find one and you can see the actually find with many hoards of coins and ancient bronze statues these ground imaging machine have located. Their equipment is like scanning the ground and producing an MRI image in great detail. But these are more in the $12,000 and up range. If you were to locate a buried treasure from the Revolution the state would only take it from you so it's kind of hard to recoup this kind of an investment one small target at a time. I was hoping the price would come down I really want to keep my boat lol. Used detectors lose value too fast so they keep piling up as loner machines and wall decorations in our spare room

I once worked at a garden center that was expanding and needed some major construction done. Before we started digging we had to know where the natural gas pipelines were. The gas company sent out a couple guys carrying what looked like metal dowsing rods. As they walked across the area where the pipelines were the rods would start angling down and when they pointed straight at the ground they put in a little flag. It looked bogus but the pipes were right where they said they'd be. As for the Greek guys, at least I remember to bring a shovel when I go out hunting treasure.
@jeanponce2017
@jeanponce2017 Жыл бұрын
Those pipes are grounded iron pipes and that probe is a high powered magnetic sensor in it so when it pulses out an electro magnetic sign wave the iron in the pipe is electromagnetically charged and easily picked up by that probe. This works easy finding Ferrous targets like iron because non ferrous targets don't become electromagnetically charged to the degree that they won't interfere with an iron probe. Where as we metal detectorists hunt for silver and gold, our detectors emit a magnetic wave (field) to sense this very minor reaction given off by the non ferrous metal targets (rings or coins) we are looking. Any nearby iron or natural ferrous minerals that are within our detectors coil field gives off such a strong magnetic response it overwhelms our detectors receiving coil and to simply put it throws a wrench in the works of the detectors circuitry. So while yes it's very easy to build an iron seeking device because non iron causes little interference to create false signals. Unfortunately it isn't that simple for the opposite to happen with buried non ferrous targets like silver or gold because our detectors will always want to respond to that iron more then they will for silver or gold no matter how much we don't want it to. Remember in science class in school where you can take a piece of shielded wire and wrap it around a nail then touch the two ends to a battery and that nail instantly becomes electro magnetically charged. Sorry about the essay there's so much going on with how these detectors it's not so easy to explain

In Greece dowsing rods are most common form of metal detecting. There is crazy amounts of treasures in the ground. Problem is it’s illegal to dig up the treasure. So even if they did find something(probably didn’t) they can’t post it on KZbin. Dowsing rods are incredible, we use them to send us in a direction and then use other machines to pin pin point. A lot of times dowsing rods pick up pockets of energy trap in the earth and you think you have a target. The next step is to take a spike and jam it into the ground around 1 foot deep if not deeper wait 20 minutes and see if you’re still getting a signal. I’ve worked with a team of professional treasure hunters in Greece who charge people to search and them tell them dig at your own risk. You can get life in prison for digging up ancient artifacts it’s no joke.

Some of these do work effectively as some are completely useless. They work on the principles electromagnetic radiation and are tipped more towards the infrared range, for it to work effectively there needs to be a relatively large amount of metal in one place, it won't pick up on trash and scattered bottle tops. Gold emits a lot of Infrared even at depths of several feet underground, the antennae is made from 2 metals which are sensitive to the infrared end of the spectrum, and due to it's almost frictionless rotation ability it is attracted to the source of the emissions coming from the ground. The science of dowsing has been studied and proven to be true over and over again, and it must have a human to be part of the overall circuit, it's subtle but repeatable. There is a 75 year old guy who lives in my town and he has been using his dowsing rods for 40 years as a service for people who have lost jewelry etc, he is successful 90% of time with the things he is asked to find, he always takes the people who have lost their belongings with him and he never uses anything but the rods.

It's a little humorous to see this device again and again. The first time I saw this type of locator was back in the eighties, it was called electroscope. I was obviously curious as a young detectorist so, I asked the man at our local metal detector sales about them. He told me that he knows a man that took one apart to understand the inner workings and, inside the device was a crazy mess of wire and nonsensical electronic b.s. This is a scam that preys on our passions as treasure hunters. All treasure hunters are drawn to this idea to locate bigger and better at longer distances of course, and every so often they put it back on the market with a new name and more enticing sales tact. I saw one person's comment on here says, "if it were real, it wouldn't be accessible" at least, not for a typical detectorists salary

Hey Merrill, Rob from Florida here. Watched every minute of this video. I have to say I am VERY skeptical. His two buddies at the end just looked SO unenthused to be out there. I'm not convinced this is legit technology to plug in to a metal detecting machine. Don't get me wrong, I know dowsing has been around a long time. But to use it with a metal detecting control panel, it didn't look legit to me, and how big would that metal target have to be for it to zero in on it. Call me skeptical Rob, but I'm not convinced. Me personally, save the $5500 bucks buddy!!! ATB Rob / FlThunder

I have seen dowsing work with rods! As a detectorist we all know that sometimes clad coins are found @ the same place that an older coin lies deeper in the same hole. I have a device that I made from a dream I had . It is based on the shear points of the magnetic feild between a magnet when you turn them backwords. Seeing how gold is a none ferrous metal and so is silver. It seems to pick up some sort of detection from the anions from likewise metals. My invention seems to work really well and it has never failed me when i search where it tells me.

Dousing rods can easily be made by cutting a conventional metal coat hanger and making a 90 degree bend towards the holding end.You place the holding ends into plastic straw cut in half,each half in each hand so the metal ends can easily converge when over the target.This is how to locate natural water running underground.Pinpointing which direction the water is flowing you’ll need to walk perpendicular to your originally located target.Once pinpointed and located that’s where you’ll begin driving your well pipe into the ground.Just be sure to use the proper sized pipe and a sand-point.Its a process everyone should learn in case there’s a need for emergency drinking water,tested of course.

It's a glorified dowsing rod. The notion that they don't work, is patently false. However, how they work, is based upon mysticism, not science. A warning to fellow Christians, I will share my personal experience with dowsing. I was using some basic metal dowsing rods back in the early 90's. I had limited success, but that was probably due to the fact that my experience was cut short. Something just didn't feel right within my spirit. I'm not a religious zealot, but I'm born again. I was laid-off work so I had some free time. I used the rods about 3 days straight and I noticed after those few days that my body felt run down and my eyes were very bloodshot. Shortly thereafter, I was doing some research at the local library and found a very old book that you weren't even allowed to borrow. The book showed very old woodcut illustrations of Spanish miners using dowsing sticks to locate and mine silver ore. It wasn't considered treasure hunting, as much as it was considered witchcraft. Some kings would employ dowsers to find treasures, while other areas of the world it was considered evil and a person could be put to death for the practice. Some time later, I was reading a book by Martin Luther. Martin Luther spoke out against the act of dowsing and said they called dowsers "red eyes" because how their eyes would become bloodshot from dowsing. I decided to pray about it so I'd know if this is something a new Christian should practice. During my prayer, I also read scripture where it said not to use "enchantment." Minutes later, I closed the Bible and opened a new treasure magazine that had just arrived. I open the magazine to a random spot and there was my answer. There before me, was this brand new set of dowsing rods just being advertised on the market. The name the company chose for the dowsing rods? "Enchantment." I couldn't believe it...to me, that was a clear response to my prayer question. I destroyed those tools of sorcery and never looked back.

it is as simple as this: for USD6000 up to USD30000 it is normally expected to fully know what item they are buying. If it's a car - fine, then we know that it is a vehicle that is running based on a diesel motor (or a gasoline, or electric) and it passes some sort of minimal but precise hard specs. In this sense, the german OKM and other guys like Klayzer should be simply jailed for scamming. Instead, I guess, their market impact among treasure hunters shows rather how big is the pool/garden of human stupidity. But, in a world of gaming and betting what else should we expect? Second point, this is NOT a german location! At position 2:59 one can clearly see road sign with name of village "IN GREEK LANGUAGE". Third point, yes the greeks sometimes really speak fast and a lot while doing practically nothing - yet highly expensive -, while you feel uncomfortable by sounds, by nonsense, etc. But, we do not know how often is this happening. What we should know, I think, is to identify a german writing (latin alphabet) from greek one (cyrillic alphabet), or from arabic, or russian or thai, or japanese ones, etc. Let' keep mum about this aspect. In conclusion: I support them: money come into germany by selling these toys, while they are more Eco than cars. At the same time, the buyers will spend more time with their families or friends in the nature, walking, digging, thinking about history. If they are smart, maybe they'll eat that healthy farm rooster at dinner, who knows :)

A friend bought one of the “super next level” detectors , so difficult not to laugh, fortunately a cheap knock off, but in the real world I as a serious prosecutor only consider quality like Minelab, Garret, White and a handful of others not discounting small innovative companies. Maybe a good project for Elon and his Crew, that merits some thought. Later, best of luck on the creeks and fields and mountains and desserts ! P.S. anyone who mocks divining has never seen it, brilliant in the right hands

Notice how the dowser guy's two arms either extend or retract as the rods cross the target. This movement causes the rods to move and cross. I've experimented with dowser rods and in my opinion, they are just another myth, same as the German detector. I'll stick with my Nox. Save your money Merrill!

Water dowsing works. We did an experiment in a field to find the drainage system in a field at Agricultural College. We staked out where the rods indicated water then the tutor got the map for that field out. It was spot on.

Maybe you can get Georgi to add rooster sounds to his nexus detectors, that would be really funny. His detectors really work though. I am thinking of ordering one of his detectors. Now that is real science and accomplishment.

Isn't it amazing how the dowsing rods always point in the exact same direction the man rotates his wrists? Have somebody secretly bury the water bottle in a small area and let the guy repeat his dowsing method. Would bet any amount of money that his accuracy rate would be no better than anyone who randomly points to a particular spot and starts digging. Real physics and delusional physics are not quite the same thing!

Yup, dowsing has been conclusively debunked by science. It's sad that so many people have fallen for this scam. I thought Merril was gonna call this product out for the obvious scam it is... but then he goes on to defend the premise of such nonsense.

YIKES!!! looks like a hipper dermic needle, I've already got my 4 covid shots, the flu and my pneumonia shot, enough is too much! well anyway, I'll stick with the least expensive common type of metal detectors, there's something about the way they look and the way they feel, the common metal detectors are a thing of beauty. Oh! I see Gabby, hello Gabby! and thank you Merrill for sharing that with us, but it does go to show that things are really advancing forward on the modern metal detectors. I have two things I like to say about the detector and dowsing.. first off if that engineering works to find large quantities of gold they should definitely be using that to try to find all the civil war gold in the states here that would be worth the $6,000 I'm sure the History channel makes that in one second 😂🤣😅... And the second part is I don't understand finding the water with a dowsing our bodies are made up of 60% water so when you're holding it wouldn't it point back at you? I I'm not sure and I'm not going to knock it and say it doesn't work it just seems kind of.... I don't know ... something doesn't seem right about it to me... but I guess I've never done it so I am not at Liberty to say if it works or not. Cool video Merrill. I don't know if you got my note but I read your book, really cool and helpful man.

i am using a kind of hybrid method when i detect, and it works really good with the nox! i more or less incorporate all three of the methods in this episode funny enough, what a coincidence! when i leave my car to go detecting i always leave the radio on in the car to collect radio signals. that helps the nox not having to pick them up. then i do like the dowser guy, i simply forget about trash targets and just remember jewels and coins! =)

What a waste of money.....Not like traditional Dowsing..Divining...or here in Europe we call it Radiestesia, we use two L shaped rods of brass / copper about 15-20" long, or even coat hangers do the job for.. 15 euros max ...I know I practice it myself..as in remote map dowsing....using Google maps I can locate let's say a field I like , then dowse it on the map...mark the areas of interest... Then go and detect...for me it works 80/90% of time...some folks it doesn't... All depends on your state of mind, folks have been dowsing / divining since ancient times...and for a good reason...it works.
