in this video i demonstrated How To Make Series Testing Board For Electronic Workbench, How To Make Series Test Lamp / Portable Series Test Lamp / Test Lamp Board for Workbench. #series #lamp #board
you can add an isolation transfler to isolate the electrical circuit, that will a very useful addition to the work bench. i used a circuit breaker, 3 60 watt tingstan bulbs, a bypass switch, and an ampere meter. i shared the wiring connection diagram and explained that how thies series testing board circuit will work and it will limmit the input current to the unit under test.
in case of any short circuit of overload condition the lamp will control the current so that during repair work or troubleshooting any circuit. in case of any mistake during repair work or any failure in the circuit, this series lamp will glow that will a indication that there is over-current consumption. i shared series board connection diagram, so you can make it very easily . i used a 100 watt bulb and a power cable. i cut one wire from center and connected both end of the cut-point wire to the lamp holder and installed the bulb in the holder

The bulb is controlling the current. One high wattage bulb allows high current to pass. Better to use lots of small wattage bulbs, in parallel, that add up to the maximum of the typical devices that you work on. That way, you can add a little current at a time and bring the circuit up slowly and in a controlled manner. Let's say you want to have an amperage capability of 2 Amps and your mains voltage is 120VAC. 2 Amps x 120VAC = 240 watts = A quantity of six 40 watt light bulbs. However, I assume no liability, if you try this.

@10:11 DVM can not be connected for a longer duration. Its shunt resistor will get heat up after a minute and destroy amp section of the DVM. Most multimeter has a seconds written near current settings, we must not connect it for more than 10 seconds ( higher current)

Yes, you are right isolation tarnsformer must be 1:1 ratio, 220IN, 220OUT first lamp will remain series all the time, other lamps are used when we want to test more current consuming circuits

bypass switch is used at final test for routine series testing, the bypass switch must remain OFF it is in that condition, when we are confidant that the circuit current is with limit.
