Just came across your video. You’ve done a wonderful job. I’m kind of a artsy person. I like trying new things in the art world. I was a leather crafter for awhile making braided/knotted fig leashes, been a photosphere for 30 years, making natural soap and now this. I already have a bunch of ideas going through my mind. Lol I’ve learned through the years that if you’re becoming frustrated and things aren’t going the way you want. Stop! Then go back to it later, give your mind a rest. And the different things I’ve done, it’s happened to all of mediums, I’ll walk away from it and then go back to it later. Most times then not, it works. Thank you for sharing your educational video with everyone.

The turtle life cycle is just as cute as can be! Really good idea for the kiddos! I am guessing that you purchased the crushed glass, as opposed to the chunky! I will be ordering! Just a thought I had, I might leave part of the brown egg nest visible as when they dig it is wet sand. That being a darker shade than the dry sand. I love this project very much, thank you for sharing it.

No it wouldn’t. The eggs are laid weeks before they hatch. Above the water line and usually in any grasses that grow on the beach. Those little guys are tiny, they have to hatch alone and then dig their way out of a covered hole before they head for the water. Why would you think it was harder by digging out of wet sand? I live on a 20 kilometre sea turtle hatching beach. The last three of years have been hard for them because they were hotter than usual. Males don’t survive the heat so we just had females that year. The next year and last year we built shade houses for them and more males made it. This year the wet season in summer is back so the weather is normal but the shade covers are ready for ant heat waves. Each giant turtle lays over 100 eggs and the average survival if they make it to water is 3. The people who live here make sure that almost every egg survives and every little guy gets to the water so our survival rate is much higher. They are patrolled and checked 24/7 from being laid to hatching by volunteers. Every female comes back to the beach she was born on to lay her eggs and this number is growing, even the endangered Loggerheads are increasing. No, the brown shouldn’t be showing because the hole is dry. I still love your resin art, it is pretty no matter how you make it. ❤️
