@@paullinfoot6017 Hi Paul, your knowledge is fascinating, I've been in the motor trade since an apprentice tech at 16 (46yrs), and right through the 80's and the RS days at a Ford dealership, so can immediately relate to a lot of what you talk about, and understand the work, time and skill involved in bringing cars to the standard you achieve. Adam and yourself collaborate to make top quality, informative, interesting video's, what I personally like is there's no faffing, no rubbish discussed, just quality cars and other track, race or relative information. Thanks mate for giving us an insight into the race car prep & maintenance of these vehicles, must say you have a lovely workshop set up there, will watch as many videos as you guys put out, and really appreciate the time and travel etc needed to film them. I’ve spotted Paul’s mid 80s Skyway BMX👍🏻….I had that that same urge back in 2019 and built a 1985 Haro Freestyler😃 I’m glad you went for the original Tuff II wheels rather than the modern repro ones! I opted for Z-Rims for something a little different. B&H cigarettes were my choice back in the 90s so the livery on the car brought back another fond memory 👍🏻

We don't have a super tourer race series because it really didn't take off here in Australia. There is the touring car masters series which is for classic 60's and 70 race cars and then there is classic group c and group a racing series. Early Group3a / v8supercars also has a racing series.

Talking of the R32 GTR - I’ve always wondered if there were any plans for a Group A Sapphire touring car to take advantage of 4WD. Obviously we saw them in WRC but it was late in the era for touring cars. I assume at least a few Aussie teams looked at the benefits of the 4WD Sapphire. But development costs probably weren’t justified for a couple seasons of racing. Whenever you meet up with Adam again it would cool to hear any Group A development stories. Particularly at the end of the era when projects where cancelled as the Super Touring era came in. Edit: Just to add, recently I’ve been collecting a few Macau 1/43rd RS500’s. I assume these are re-liveried BTCC cars, as they’re driven by the likes of Rouse, Harvey & Gravett. Would be cool to hear about the history of particular chassis and their racing career.
