560SL - Installing The Power Steering Pump & Bleeding The Gearbox

In this short #R107, #560SL video, I install the power steering pump and show how to flush and bleed the power steering pump and gearbox. This video is relevant to all #M116, #M117 Mercedes-Benz 8 cylinder gas, 3.8L, 4.2L, 5.0L, 5.6L.

Hi Tony, the owners manual to the 560 says to just use ATX fluid….,

I have never used this. The only fluid I have ever used is genuine Mercedes power steering “oil” part #: 000-989-88-03. It is much different than fluid. It looks like regular oil.
