You're not allowed to say "that isn't normal". You're supposed to pretend it's all perfectly normal and it all happened just like this when your grandpa was growing up. It's pretty simple -- it's called "climate chaos" and it's what happens when more and more heat energy is pumped into the atmosphere and oceans year after year. It's basic science but it's up against entrenched politics and wishful thinking ... so science will be beaten down and ignored. Good luck.

I work at OHare and it was crazy seeing almost every flight delayed and people sleeping at the airport overnight. We got lucky here in Chicago that we didnt see any storms. I cant believe that Michigan got hit with tornadoes. Thats crazy.

A while back a report indicated the importance of trees and the more they keep cutting down trees and leveling grounds for more and more houses the more this can contribute to an environment conducive for strong, super cell storms and tornadoes. Also, I believe that the hundreds of cruise ships, barges traversing the continents and livaboard lifestyles are not helping the environment and climate either.

The gov cloud seeded just south of the beginning of the storm. It intensified more and more as it travelled north east. Time for a huge class action lawsuit as they contributed to the disaster big time!

There’s one thing I never understood. In Japan because the earthquakes are so frequent they build with seismic rules in mind. How do we rebuild? Same houses out of wood, same warehouses with absolutely nothing in mind. Forget about the wind, they don’t even care about ventilation or sunlight for those workers. Try to walk into warehouse with nonelectric forklifts. What’s worse than tornado is you media coverage.Non a single word about how to go forward. Who expects different outcomes from same all, are delusional to say the least

While that's always a bad idea, it's far more likely our planet's failing magnetic shield, which is letting in far more solar energy in the form of solar particle forcing, is energizing our atmosphere far more than we're used to. We had a huge solar flare earlier this morning, pointed directly at Earth, so we'll likely have more significant weather over the next few days.
