I am not surprised by this… a friend of mine is a National park ranger in Africa, his weapon of choice is a 450 Rigby and he has twice had to use it on elephant, the most impressive thing was that the bullet was found about half an inch from the tail of an elephant bull after penetrating all of the rest of the bull from a full frontal head shot! I totally would love to pull the trigger on the 577 Trex as I have gone all the way up to 505 Gibbs but still waiting for the Trex…. Maybe someday

Not much. It's fast but mainly heavy and has alot of dump. Like other big bore rounds. It's not like you're shooting a 50bmg. The tyrannosaur isn't for armor piercing but for stopping power. I'd believe an ak47 or a 308 would be better against armor or plates

gawd i love watching videos with this gun. i want to see you shoot bullet proof glass or a safe with the 577. i also really want to see you double shoot 2 cans of pureed eggplant. stack 2 cans on each other and shoot the bottom can which pops the top can up in the air. you then shoot the top can while its in the air. would probably be pretty hard with the 577 but maybe with a shotgun or some other gun.
