I have a Cummins N14 mine went out and I could not tell any difference in the way the engine was running. Only way I knew was the check engine light came on.

I just changed the TRS sensor last week because the truck wouldn't start and this one is a good idea to change at the same time.

it's a timing sensor like the cam sensor on a car. SRS means synchronous reference sensor Just google srs sensor

Gordon this controls RPM input on the tachometer? After we serviced the air pump this starts to random fail .

I don't know, maybe need to clean wire connection or repair wire since it's the only sensor by the compressor, the "TRS" is under the compressor but the truck won't run if that has a problem.

Have you read or seen the FMCSA is going to be changing the pre emissions 2000’s and older over to the EDL ? They have it on the website to read up on but how is it possible to put it on the older ECM’s and program it to the truck ? Let me know what you think about how it can be hooked up so later on I will know what I need to do Please 💖💖💖 Thanks

I have not heard about that yet. It is possible to hook that up to any ECM. I think the ELD has the the GPS in it.

You can buy the plug with 6 inches of electric wire from DD and suggest you get one just in case These old girls will be running when we’re both dead and gone
