'58, The Lost Vacation Year.wmv

Like the title says, because of persistent heavy precipitation in '58, the Lake of the Ozarks was at above full reservoir during our mid-summer vacation. For the entire 2 weeks, what looks like islands in this home movie is actually floating driftwood debris that altered our boating family's way of vacationing. Movie was shot @ 11mm.

I remember these times. Lived at Lone Oak Point Resort during years of 1942 and 1956. During those years we removed lots of thos logs and debris from our 7 acre point . This video brings back many memries. Thanks to the person who is sharing this picture. My brother and I were the first to "water ski" on the lake.
