I'm more a fan of the full fat version but still I like how in this series there is alot of survival via custom and adapting suits from parts. lightly touched on in 00 with poor the poor virtue and it's legacy..

I feel they should release some kind of mini gusion pack that comes with the frame parts needed for the gusion parts and have stronger wrists and just stronger joints in general

Man, I love this thing AND the gusion :/ I wouldnt want to buy this kit twice due to the plastic id be wasting and the premium id be paying for said waste though. If these wouldve been 2 normal kits or if it wouldve included an extra inner frame I wouldve been all over this kit.

Can't wait until the 1/100 scale Kimaris trooper is released. I am going to combine it with the Re-bake parts for my Gundam 8 Gates. The Regular Gusion is too unique to not have. Now for my fellow gunpla fans the 1/100 frames for the Gundams are the same (except for the heads) in this line so you should be able to use the Barbatos frames or Kimaris booster type if you would like. Amazon and gundamplanet are selling them for $25

My guess is that they realized that the Gusion wasn't gonna sell like they wanted it after getting feedback from people and sales from the 1/144 kits so they did this combo pack to get some money from the Gusion . I'm gonna be honest..... I haven't given this series a fair chance since I have only watched the first 2 episodes and Gundam wise based on the kits the Gusion Rebake is pretty much the only that has managed to get my interest! The Gusion on the other hand is not only my least favorite out of all the model kits for this series but... for some reason I just consider it a Gundam.

+ultimatepower I think you could be right about the sales worries of Bandai. But I think they would have been much better off selling the kits separately. They could probably price them separately at 3,000yen each, just due to the amount of plastic for each Gundam. So for people who want both versions they are gonna spend 6,000 rather than 5,000 for the set. Yes, currently if people want both they have to spend 10,000, but very few people are really gonna do that. I think there are a lot of people that only want one of the forms, but they aren't gonna buy the kit at all because of the price and wasted parts.

Actually figured something out recently that you can use the frame of the kimaris space type for the armor of the gusion so you wouldnt have to pay another 40ish dollars

sorry it took so long for me to reply to my comment with my thoughts about this kit. in my opinion, its an amazing kit, but the sub-arms come loose very easily and the hip and ankle joints are pretty weak, it doesn't hold standing poses well

Correct me if I'm wrong but I know if you're living in Japan, you can order just some of the runner plates, it would be nice if you'll just order the inner frame runners just to build a completely separate Gundam Gusion.

I have the kit but I haven't built it yet (lack the time unfortunately) Is it possible to equip the Gusion armor parts on the Barbatos frame? I was initially sure it could work but after seeing the frames are different I'm having my doubts

I really enjoy what you do here as a Gunpla Reviewer. However, your videos are slightly too long in my opinion (clocking in at around 18-20 minutes per video). It would be great if you consider making your videos around 10 minutes long, this will make your videos more concise and easier to understand. (Also easier for us viewers to re-watch). Thanks! I could also further advice to make like a condense version like only 5-8mins vids (much like how typev3 does his vids) where he would only discuss about articulation, overall look and feel and finally thoughts and opinion. Then you can have another version of the like an in-depth vid with more discussions about the kit, tips if people decides to paint it, trouble areas, etc.

Be honest that was my complaint too, that being said I had an extra Barbados frame and made a tweak for the legs and arms cause the rebake has different armor slots for those but all in all it worked out just food for thought get a cheaper inner frame and use both rebake and gusion

+balgus82 The shield is heavy, but because it attaches to the arm is doesn't cause much issue. The rifle is an issue only at the wrist.

Would you say this kit is worth 45$ just for the rebake? Is the model itself stable without a stand, or not worth it if you dont have the other kits for weapons to actually use the extra arms?

It's not my favorite design, but I kinda like it. It's a shame it comes packaged with the Gusion parts, if it were sold by itself I'd consider getting it so I could display it teamed up with my 1/100 Barbatos. As it is, I probably won't get it. Great review, anyway!

Alex Eddy probably not gonma happen at this point but i would recommend taking your 1/100 barbatos and using the frame for one of the two since its pretty cheap to get beaides the 5th form barbatos comes with all the parts to make all the forms

Hello Zaku A, I just put together my own Gusion Rebake (Bandai) and it looks awesome! I used spray paints instead of stickers, and oil paint washes for the panel lines and weathering. However, yes I'm dissapointed too I cant have a Gusion without taking the Rebake apart! What a waste.. have you gotten around this problem yet?

Your best option would be to buy the cheapest IBO 1/100 Gundam kit (the original Barbatos kit, I think) and use the frame from that.

Feel free to send all those Rebake parts you'll probably never use :) My current custom would love to use that backpack unLESS that backpack doesn't work on the original Barbatos frame... :) I'll probably pick this up and just build the Gusion because who doesn't like a chunky turtle MS? I kinda like the overall design of the MS .. just the head sits too tall and that screws up the look IMO. That and the shield looks odd and doesn't really fit the style of the rest of the body.. The silhouette looks almost like the GP-01 FB holding a GP-02 shield..

I don't have a choice really. The only place near me that sells them is a comic book store that only has a few kits, and they're overpriced. For example they have a V2 Gundam ver.KA that's priced at $90.
