CRazy! I might have got to 70 degrees. A single limiting strap in the center rear would allow max flex but also keep the body down. The axle would only drop half way but each side would still get full flex.

Real question is what is max needed in any scenario, but you also have to factor weight distribution since the more of an angle it sits at the more it'll wanna roll before reaching max deflection. Pretty interesting to see this portion of the hobby exploding right now. I believe the resulting development will be rapid initially.

Very insightful comment. When you say this portion of the hobby, are you referring to the mini crawlers in general, or the crazy flex we can get out of them?

Just tossing a thought out there. What about a swap to the 54mm in the rear with the flex plate you have on already to lower the overall length just a tad? Or even remove the mount and see if that takes a little rear lift out? 🤷🏼♂️

Lmk how that's gone because I've not seen any shocks specifically for the fcx24 over 48mm
@ProKfir23 күн бұрын
The shocks are almost not doing anything at these angles, except, the springs are providing some support to the weight of the chassis when the thing is on level ground. They possibly limit travel when fully articulated. Have you tried to run it without shocks at all? I'd be curious to see how it behaves. You might be better off setting up the shocks/springs to just rest on the axles on compression without being connected to them... 😈

@CapeCrawlers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I've been asked that before. The benefit to the shocks is that they keep the axle straight.
