George Strait……my first cd ever was carried away and I’ve bought every cd of his ever since. Growing up the 90s we had so many great country music musicians that are in the Honky tonk hall of fame, Alan Jackson, Toby Kieth, Kieth Whitley, Conway, Garth, Brooks & Dunn, and the list goes on but there’s always been one artist that has never fallen from the top, has been in the spotlight consistently, never had controversy, and has had #1 hits for over 50 years and is the only artist that can say he’s had a #1 hit in 5 straight decades, and is known from everyone as the King of country music, King George Strait. Garth Brooks might had lite the 90s on fire and is probably the best entertainer but he can’t hold a candle to what George Strait has accomplished. The GOAT of country music
