Thanks so much, you are the Oracle of ms access. You teach VBA with simplicity. I love that.

How are you handling the 2501 error event that happens when cancel = true when calling the invoice from DoCmd.OpenReport behind the invoice button?

You could trap the error, or just "on error resume next" it.

Is there a way to create a database with a feature function median, mean and mode. The median is more important for me. Example sample: Data students grades. Would be nice if there is a button or something similar to calculate the median and generate reports with students grades with the median, mean, mode, deviation. In excel we have to make some steps before to use median. In pivot table there is a way to get the median, but still needs some steps before.

Avg, Rank, Median: 599cd.com/Median --- before asking next time, just Search my site or Google it. I'm sure this video would have come up.

Could we have something similar for forms
@599CD2 жыл бұрын
Sure... just use DCount to see how many records will be in the form before you open it. You could also do this with a report instead of On No Data. 599cd.com/DCount

I have different issue - I want to show on report - No Data, because it exports to PDF. I can omit creation of PDF, but I would rather send report that has 'no data' message on report itself. At the moment looking into changing to NO DATA report that shows only that message.

Hey man! Your content is great , thank you! I’m hoping you might be able to help me as I’m brand new to access and DB design. I work at a small business. We do property tax appeals. Sometimes, two spouses/owners might have their own record for the same property. What’s the best practice for merging these accounts in access? If either spouse/owner calls our office, I want to see a single profile for the property show up. I also want to avoid duplications and bad data, ie, one record gets updated but the other does not. Thanks for all you do, I’m learning a lot from you!

I would base the records on some kind of property ID. That way you are sure to have unique records.
