Thanks Richard. Good solution but I always disable the X Close button so the database can only be closed the way I want.

Hi; I always maximize my reports. So I put my DoCmd.Maximize on the On Load event and the silly white ribbon disappears automatically when I close the report. Hope that helps!

Hi Richard I have had a problem with a database after windows update last week all was working ok and the next day open access ok but when typing on a form or editing the form the cursor would not move and no text would be entered either. I shut down access several times etc, rebooted my pc still the same word & excel worked ok and you could type things in ok have you got any ideas how to get it working again. Steve b.
