This question is like asking American why drinking ice water in winter? Western culture is not the only culture on the earth. Also,I think warm water doesn’t equal to HOT water.

@@yunzhu4815 That is soo true. I think hot water/warm water helps you sweat more which actually cools you down. I also like hot water/warm water because it's better for digestion and it soothes my throat vs cold water which shocks your system.
