Excellent video. I blame you for my introduction to Hyperspin. What an awesome learning curve and what an amazing front end when all falls into place. I fell in love it instantly and I now have a similar setup in my cab. Plenty of loose ends to fix but that's part of the fun of doing things right. You're a champ. Keep it up.

Hey Fifthdread, I wanted to thank you alot. I have been struggling with hyperspin and ended up using maximus arcade for a while. but after watching your video I have filled an entire 2 Terrabyte hard drive with nothing but hyperspin. i also added alot of the newest pc games which were a nightmare. but i digress. I appreciate all your knowledge. I now understand hyperspin and it is simple now. Thanks for all the excellent videos. Im making a huge bartop now . i'll send you a link when im done.

Nice job. Its good to see others that love gaming as much as I do. We need to keep these early games alive so people know where all video games originated from. The control panel and monitor are perfect ratio to each other and that's important. Some don't realize that most originals came out on 19 inch monitors. So 17 to 21 inch monitors are perfect. You don't want to go much bigger than that. If u go too big, its an eye sore literally and takes away that nostalgic original feel and ratio that they were meant to be played in. Nice angles and depth. Color scheme is great. It contrasts well.

My God, Jazz Jackrabbit and Skyroads takes me back! I use to play the crap outda those back in the day! This was a pretty nice job man! Its hard to get this all the stuff going! What people dont realize is how much time it takes to set something like this up. All the errors and conflicts and also, its an insane amount of work! Great Job So Far! My personal arcade machine build is going great. Im still trying to figure out daphaine, not having much luck at it lol. I would like to try out wii and gamecube on mine also! far from ready on that one! Im using maximus. Anyway, Awesome Job Man! Loved It!

Pretty amazing. At first I was thinking "what's with all the console games on a cabinet??" But by the end, I was sold. Games like Smash Bros should have been in the arcade!
@StrehDawg12 жыл бұрын
Very cool dude, I cant wait to figure out more about this stuff so I can get to work on one. The MAME or original version of Double Dragon is super classic to me, and all those systems emulated on one cabinet is awesome. Great Video.

This is pretty cool man, I got mine setup with a friend from work. We have it so the box auto logs in, launches Hyperspin instead of windows explorer, if hyperspin crashes windows will log off windows and of course log right back in (autologon feature), we added a control panel/config menu in hyperspin so we can launch explorer windows, registry, if we ever need to modify anything in it. its pretty cool I guess. just sharing some info.

Putting Super Smash Bros. Melee in an arcade cabinet is an interesting idea. Nintendo should considering doing that with the follow-up to Sm4sh to better help refine the game for competitive play.
@asphixmx12 жыл бұрын
Really??? Wow! Backgrounds and all stuff for dos games (like the one I saw with Jazz Jack Rabbit) made by yourself... "me quito el sombrero" as we say in Mexico. Something like "I raise my hat with my hand"..it is kinda sign of respect to you. Congratulations. Let us know if someday you share :D

15:00 i bought the same keyboard 2 months ago, love it, i also have the hyperspin downloaded in a zipped file on a 2TB Western Digital HD but not extracted yet, from 3 years ago, downloaded piratko's torrent from undergroundgamer except the dreamcast torrent which i got (in its entirety cause i love dreamcast) from another site along with complete NTSC gamecube all on the same 2TB HD, i also have the complete NTSC PS2 compressed on a 3TB WD HD, both HD are basically storage....

How easy is it to get to the hardware? (ignore this question if your other videos have the answer, i'm about to watch them all) Have you considered making all the fans intakes to reduce settling dust? I really like what you have done, i hope i can make an arcade cabinet half as good as yours in the future.
@leamzi911 жыл бұрын
where do you get all those game themes? i really like them and wish to have them, if you can help me out, it'll be apreciated
@franks_nl10 жыл бұрын
I don't see how you have 'cheaped out' on the cabinet, it looks awesome. Two queries: - How are you going to finish the bezel? - What monitor are you using? It looks huge for a 4:3... After I finish my trial single-player bartop (which I *did* cheap out on, with an outlay of cash for the wood around $10 + what I had lying about, and which is going to house an old disassembled laptop) I'm looking to go a bit bigger for two players. Your cabinet size seems awesome

im trying to do a project kinda like this one more or less the same dimensions of the cabinet but with a high end pc and a water cooled rig.. i know i probably dont need that much power for emulation but its a project i want to do... do you think it can work?

sorry.. you answer my question towards the end! I have read on the hyperspin forums that 2tb is the average for a complete system library inc animations and movies.
