how UE will initimate gNB about the best suited SSB beam from ssb burst, post beem sweeping ?
@OurTechPlanet Жыл бұрын
By using RACH. RACH preambles are divided in groups for each SSB Beam so the UE chooses a RACH preamble based on the best SSB Beam which notifies the gNB.

@@OurTechPlanetwill csi feedback plays any role over here in order to let gnb knows the best fit ssb. I have this confusion because somewhere I have read about ssb-ri in csi report
@OurTechPlanet Жыл бұрын
@@indramani8888 The general consensus among all vendors is that SSB usually does not have an interaction with CSI feedback.

Sir, I am unable to understand that how gNB able to know the location of UE using RSRP without knowing PMI value from UE ...
@OurTechPlanet Жыл бұрын
Basically, the RACH preambles are divided among each SSB Beam so the UE chooses the RACH preamble based on the SSB Beam that it wants to choose. When the gNB gets the RACH preamble, it understands that the UE has chosen which specific SSB Beam.

@@OurTechPlanet you mean to say that number of Random access preambles gNB send in configuration via SIB will be different for each SSB beams? for ex if there are 48 Random access preambles and 4 SSB beams 0-11 preamble IDs are for beam1, 12-23 will be for beam2 etc.. like this ?

Thank you very much for all your videos . Can you plz make a video on how Single Carriers OFDMs are made in the uplink of both LTE and NR . I understand that CP-OFDM has higher PAPR and hence we have SC-OFDMA in uplink of 4G and DFTs-OFDM in uplink of 5G , which are OFDMs disguised as a single carrier wave and thus eliminates PAPR . But i cannot visualise this . Can you explain this phenomenon and also how IDFT/IFFT and FFT/DFT works in OFDM ? Thanks..

Cons of having more SSB Beams per burst apart from increased overlapping and interference
@OurTechPlanet Жыл бұрын
More SSB Beams usually mean that SSB beams are narrower and more focused so it actually improves the SSB coverage and SINR. However, more SSB beams mean more SSB overhead and it also adds difficulty in implementation. Lastly, the SSB beam change triggers will cause additional overheads.
