What to do if Excitation port overlap? I am trying to design MIMO based on a halfwave inter-element distance and massive excitation port during simulation cause the problem. (excitation port X = 9.056 mm and halfwave = ~5.8mm) That option "allow excitation port overlapping" does not work or maybe I don't know how to use it correctly. Could You suggest something please? Thank You!

Yes you can. If you simulate the full antenna you with monitoring options enabled you can find all the necesarry parameters.

Thank you very much, This is two port antenna. So, wich applications we can using this kind of antenna operating at 5.8 GHz , I mean WIFI or 5G ? . But 5G operate at high frequency ( mm-wave) like 60 GHz. Please, if you can explain in comments a bit enough details for this antenna. Thank you very much & many thanks. BEST REGARS.

there are different frequency bands for 5G. They vary by different countries. This video just a tutorial about designing phased array antennas. You can design antennas in your particular frequency and can apply techniques described here without any problem. Regards.

By changing the magnitude and phase of the excitation you are applying beamforming. Do you want to apply a special beamforming algorithm?

@@maryamagha1557 Yes you can, but you will need to access CST via another tool, such as MATLAB, to change the amplitude and phase of the excitation in CST.

There is special taper distributions for setting sidelobe levels, using Taylor and Chebyschev polynomials. Unfortunately I can not give you exact solution for your problem.
