Hi Mohamed, with the CSI-RS beamforming technique there is a predefined set of PMI known to UE. Does this occur also with SRS? Is there also a predefined set of traffic beams with SRS technique? Thank you

Hi Georgi; i am not sure about the answer for your question but i dont think that there is a predefined set if traffic beams incase of SRS; page 196 to 197 in 5G nr in bullet book has some good information regarding csi-rs and srs mechanism also please let me know if you find and confirmed the answer. Thank you

Thanks for srs information….in video we listened that antenna switching can be done in case when less tx and more Rx ,is this valid conditions???
@mohamedeladawiashour Жыл бұрын
Yes; it is a valid condition. the Dl propagation channel towards each of UE receive antenna can be deduced if the UE is able to transmit the SRS from each receive antenna. And many if the Ue implementations may have more receive antenna than the transmit paths. I quoted this information from 5G NR in bullets book page 365 to 367 and from actual UE capability logs as well. Which was shared in the video

Hello Mohamed! Please provide me clarifications on the following: a) When does the noncodebook usage in SRS Resource Set occur? b) Can SRB 3 be used for the activation of NR Carrier Aggregation? c) Is DFTsOFDM applicable to both NR FDD and TDD? Thank you

Hi Georgi, For part (a), I don’t have the answer readily available at the moment, but I’ll look into it and get back to you as soon as I have more information. For part (b), that’s a good question. I haven’t verified it before, but I believe it does as SRB3 handle RRC Reconfiguration messages between NR and the UE. For part (c), yes, it does.

Very helpful Mohamed !! Ue sends PMI/RI/CQI on PUCCH which is more robust from path loss point of view, comparing to SRS. That' s why Codebook based beamforming works better in medium to poor radio conditions. Is it correct? Thank you
