Thanks MB for another great NS video. I thought you had gone on a CSX binge for a while. I loved the detail shots like the uneven rail causing the clickety clak. Keep up the great work!!!
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
I'm happy you like it. Lol, well, CSX is not a very railfan-friendly railroad currently. We clearly feel that they run way fewer trains. NS is more reliable in this regard.

I don't remember. Usually, some of those engine are not on-line, but only transferred to a different location.

@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
Lol, very much appreciated! KZbin keeps changing the way they promote videos continuously and the number of subscribers grows in accordance with the number of views. Times have changed. Channels that cover topics which are not trending on a mass scale are not considered interesting. Quality is not a relevant factor at all. It's like food: Good restaurants have a hard time to survive, but junk food sells very well. But I'm not complaining. This channel has thousands of loyal fans and I'm happy about it.

Always is interesting watching the competition. I work out of Newell PA and have contact with many NS personal out of West Brownsville all the time. I also have a friend that's works for NS out of Mingo Jct. OH. We compare our railroads with each other's and usually get a big laugh. The longhood SD40-2 remind me of a NS detour unit train I ran years ago between Newell and New Castle. I had three ex Southern SD40-2's as power running elephant style longhood forward. One of my more interesting trips I have made in my 19 years at CSX. Keep missing in running the Citirail engines. Maybe someday. Great vid. Be safe out there. CSX#237377
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
Oh I can imagine that this is interesting, but there's also a lot of cooperation and not only competition. That's why, as I think, NS seems to be somewhat worried about the changes CSX is in the process of implementing, which ultimately affect NS's operations as well. Very cool, I'm sure it was an experience to run such a consist. Something for the history books, I guess, as the SD40-2s will soon have disappeared, at least on the main roads.
