So glad I found this video, I replaced the carb on my tiller, and I couldn’t get the choke to stay open in the new one, I was loosing my mind wondering what was I doing wrong!! I put a spring like you did, but I knew that wasn’t how it came off (I didn’t have the old carb unfortunately to cross reference, but I took pics lol) now seeing your video I feel so much better

Thank you for the video bud! I was a bit nervous in replacing my carb on my fun power version of this engine. I could not find anything other than this video and I greatly appreciate you showing the steps on the carb replacement.

Thanks for the video. The governor spring popped off when I was pulling the tank off and I couldn't figure out where it connected. Watching your video I saw where it connects and now my wood splitter is running right.

I have the same motor on a leaf blower and bought the same carb. Still did work right now I see why I need that spring for the choke. Would you know how long it is? I figured around2". And yeas make sure to take lots of phots unless you enjoy puzzles,

Great tip on taking a picture. In my youth, before we all carried a camera with us at all times, referring to a photo would have saved me so much frustration & expense.
@SoatMon Жыл бұрын
Yeah a picture back then would have taken several days to get back and then it would have been too dark and out of focus! Pictures have definitely improved. They save me many times. I actually needed it on this one to get the linkage back on correctly.

Sir, does that black wire go inside the clear plastic on the bottom of the fuel tank by the linkage? Thank You

I am having to remove the fuel tank because of gasoline that has been left in the tank for years since I last use the tiller. My question is where can I find the carburetor number; my carburetor looks like yours, but there are so many different models I just want to be sure. Thank You very much

Another great how to. I had a co-worker ask me if I could rebuild a carb for his mower if he brought it to me. I told I could, but the rebuild kit would cost as much as a replacement carb, and since he felt he could remove and replace the carb he should do that. I was a little off, as the rebuild kit would have been $6 cheaper. He took my advice.

Super informative video! I'm working on my tiller as well and I need to track down and purchase a few parts, and the model number on my Briggs is no longer there. I believe we have the same 5hp Briggs and was wondering if you'd be able to share the model number for yours? Thank you!

Hey I got a question I bought a new carb for this and it came with a fuel filter? But I don’t know where to install it
@SoatMon5 ай бұрын
The filter goes in the fuel line between the gas tank and the carburetor. There should already be one that you would replace.
