That car story is so heartwarming. Even though Nani missed a penalty and Fergie destroyed him and Giggsy in the dressing room, later on during the drive back, Fergie went “it’s okay son, just try and hit it harder into the corners”. Also speaks volumes about how Nani said sorry for missing the penalty, humble enough to do so. They must all have so much respect for SAF and he was like a father to them. Arsenal, AC Milan, Bayern were some of his best moments. His problem was consistency, in the big games he showed up. SAF should have started him in the 2011 UCL final instead of Valencia. Might have offered more threat. Shame how Van Gaal chopped heads randomly and gave very little opportunities to the good SAF players that still had value.
