The song talks about the prejudice of being judged by the clothes you wear or the place where you live. I found it very interesting to bring this subject up in a light and fun way, but still interesting. Then you understand lines like: "The dresses on our backs are found in the trash. Police chronicle and the cottage is raided." and "We avoid drugs, let the rich do it." Greetings from Brazil. 😘😘

"Politseikroonika" or "police chronicles" was a early-to-mid-00s Estonian show where the host visited numerous downtrodden areas, interviewing the disenfranchised, often to both hilarious and humanizing effect. "Kleidike me seljas on prügikasti leid" (the dress we're wearing was found in the trash) paraphrases one of the most famous clips from the show.

This is traditional male folk dance from Vormsi (although that usually doesn't look like this 😅), and Estonia is famous for folk singing and dance festival. Latvia and Lithuania also have singing and dancing fests.

From my understanding this song is against police profiling poor/working class people as criminals drug and alcohol users while the rich and famous people use them freely and are not harassed or interrogated as much.

As an Estonian, you could be right in that sense. But also, 5miinust is extremely popular in Estonia and well known for their songs about drugs. As of late, they decided they "grew up", and singing that they "don't know anything about these drugs" could be seen as kind of a joke made at the expense of their past selves. It's like an ironic self-jab - how they've made their career on songs that glamorize drugs, and now claim to not know anything about this stuff.

@@Grzonie I have listened to their songs, what you say actually makes sense, they are growing up with families and wanting to do more creative and grown up music. Their new album with Puuluup actually sounds very mature, funny how 2 older men influenced them as such but it is a good influence, all of us move on from being young and free to having responsibilities. Now the lyrics make even more sense, from something general to a cynic look of 5miinust at themselves:))). This is pure art!!

the comment about closing the show is funny bc in estonia all the summer festivals etc they are always the last act, main act, closing act. the on stage energy is unbeatable! very very popular here! tbh they have been on top of the local charts for the past 7 years. completely dominating

This is the most hilarious thing ive ever seen. 5miinust is known for being partyrappers. All of their songs are about doing drugs and drinking liters of vodka (source: am estonian). This is a banger and i never expected it to be. Doing a line of speed and getting on stage would be on brand. Also the sign language interpreter for this song is a national treasure, u should really check that out.

the song is about how hiiukannel can replace drugs. actually the theme sounds pretty shamanistic to me, when an instrument gets people "high" & they are dancing until they get visions. btw the letter ü pronounces like in german word Über (alles)
