Same here. When I heard they are fighting Russians with molotov cocktails it brought back that some of my family did the same when they fought against the Nazis in the Warsaw ghetto uprising. He seems like an amazing person and it's so sad that he went through so much pain. My mom was in a slave labor camp as a child too...She was interrogated with a gun to her head, slapped, stripped and searched for tattoos, doused with petrol, then the worst parts she said were starvation and the daily gathering in the courtyard at 7am. Those gatherings were scary because the Germans would call the names of selected prisoners and they would take them away for execution...

Germans put to the concentration camps millions of ppl, personally had a chance to met few of them of different origins Jewish, Polish, Azerbaijani, Russian and can say only 1 think, ppl with great hearts wounded by trauma who never complained. My great grandfather survived Dachau, came by mostly walking or illegally using trains etc. to Poland to die few weeks after due to experiments made on him at the family house, according to my grandmother he has never said any complaints about what happened. My great grandmother probably seeing what's going on, that his end is coming, asked the local photographer to come go take a picture. Now this last pic is at my house framed, every time I have a bad moment or complain I look at that strong man who is smiling and feel like the biggest brat. That's my biggest motivation. I feel sorry that never had a chance to meet him, but I saw similar reflection in the other ppl who survived German holocaust, they have the goldest hearts and empathy, I think cause they already knew how hard is to be on the other side. In Wladyslaw I see the same.

@arpa90092 жыл бұрын
@@JULOC05 yes the pride as well, my grandmother also didn't apply for the reparations after loosing her father due to holocaust. Indeed they just want to forget, they were always hiding their tattoos,. In the US I met an old lady cause of the one project, once she heard me speaking Polish, and she had tears in her eyes, I asked her if she is fine, and she shared story of being a concentration camp kid taken from Poland to German camp, not to mention that the American soldier who found her as first when they were liberating the camps became years later her husband, incredible story, anyway she told me that as an orphan she ended up in the US and decided to never speak this language again, as it reminded her of her lost family (her parents, brother and best friend from the camp died there), she wanted to forget her past connections and previous life till meeting her husband by not using the language, changing name, etc. Anyhow, the survivors I met were always very special, there was something in them, something deep, and they were also very modest ppl. Jestem Polką i jestem dumna z moich rodaków.

Poland is the only country in the world to accept 2 million refugees without transit camps, we simply take them home and treat them like family. we help as we can.

That's called Love ❤ No one encouraged Poles to help refugees, they drove by their private cars often hundreds of miles, taking refugees, to a safer place.They still do it, waiting for nothing in return. That's Love ❤

We Poles went through alot. I mean ALOT. Every Poles family have some mind blowing memories from ww2. And now.. Even we had some differencies with Ukrainians in the past.. Many Poles have someone murdered by UPA too. But we cannot let these ppl alone. We cannot upset them. Just like world forgot about us, Poles, not so many years ago.

Well, some surprising good news. Response from people wanting to help has resulted in such overwhelming donation of goods that the system is unable to take any more.

Всем, всем огромное спасибо за доброту. Мои 5 внуков уехали в Европу. Я в Киеве, сегодня над Киевом сбили ракету, упала в реку Днепр. Мой сын пошел воевать, вот так и живем!

! URGENT IMPORTANT MESSAGE ! Plz, send all the extra items, clothes and gifts to Moldova, this small country, the poorest in Europe, no member of but UE or NATO. Moldova welcomed 2 or 3 times more refugees per 100.000 inhabitants, and they do not have the same income, the same donations, and not the same huge Polish diaspora around the world that is collecting help around the world. Without talking about all the donation from Western Europe and elsewhere that start to arrive via Germany.

i live near Polish-Ukrainian border. and what can i say... a lot of those Ukrainian women who fled war already want to work, there is lot of offers for housekeeping and simple jobs on local community facebook pages. they dont just sit on their butts and wait for goverment money, but want to work and earn money for their living.
@arpa90092 жыл бұрын
But you know that they don't need to work, for now for another 6 months they have flats, food, transportation, insurance, medical Healthcare and other allowances for free. They can also apply for the 500+benefits for each child and 1200 benefit.

@@arpa9009 We greatly admire that sort of compassion, and resolution to support people who have lost everything. Hopefully one day, all countries will be able to fix their hearts and be that kind.

@@paulgibbon5991 I also hope, to being realistic it's impossible, usually the wars are about the power and the money, and majority of ppl are bad ppl. Maybe Elon while building his colony shell choose only good ppl after special psychological examination, but that's probably also impossible. We are the worst that happened to this beautiful planet ...
