Please read: Salam alaikum - Dilly in your last live you said that the UK duat were "very active" on Palestine. You quoted the likes of Mohammed Hijab, and Ali Dawah and Smile2Jannah and others. There was then a move to critique the US duat, which to be quite frank have become too easy a scape goat, especially when it comes to Western Dawah and insulation from blame: "look at those guys, we're much better". Please read: my issue isn't with activity *being present* on the Palestine issue by UK (and US and other Western duat) but the due SERIOUSNESS AFFORDED to this issue, the organisation, the volume of content, the type and quality of content - is generally poor, sorry to say. Compare it to Owen Jones, who makes DAILY VIDEOS basically on the issue: scripted, organised, well sourced short and to the point, up-to-date, informative and provides excellent arguments. WE ARE NOT GETTING THIS AT ALL FROM OUR DUAT; ONE LECTURE OR VIDEO ONCE IN A WHILE IS NOT ENOUGH - Hijab making VLOGS TO BOSNIA LAUGHING ABOUT ALEX JONES IS NOT APPROPRIATE AS GAZANS ARE BEING INCINERATED ALIVE - Occasional videos every so often isn't enough - Adnan Rashid has spent a significant amount of time using his platform to go after the Ahmadis? Really, at this time? - FaridRepsonds blocked me on Twitter months ago when I pointed out that the volume of content critiquing idiot Islamophobic youtubers seemingly FAR SURPASES the amount of time he dedicates to the Palestine issue. Just click on his KZbin page and see the video titles - its unbelievable. - I commented on Sh Ali Hammuda's post recently which, after Shaaban Ahmed was seen incinerated alive on camera, he rightfully said we should direct all of our attention to Palestine; but with respect to Sh Ali, who has alot of knowledge and manners, where is the condemnation of the Arab regimes: and I am NOT TALKING ABOUT ONE SENTENCE THROWN OUT in a random video; I am talking about a constant organised targeted stream of content naming the likes of MBS and MBZ and Sisi and King Abdallah and dissecting their roles. Where is it? It is NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR THESE SCHOLARS IN THE WEST where there is relative freedom for them to not speak out (compare this to the amount of flack the Saudi scholars got when they did not speak out even though the consequences were much worse potentially) The UK Duat need to do BETTER! Our content is not organised, or unified, or targeted, or voluminous enough and they are not providing this its due seriousness. The quality is NOT good enough and it looks aimless, unscripted and unprofessional. I am asking you to hold them to account; please send them this comment; DONT JUST IGNORE IT. Allah is my witness, he knows if I am speaking from sincerity or not. Please don't just ignore it; send it to them. Conclusion and plan: 1.CONTENT QUALITY AND VOLUME OF CONTENT: Our duat IN THE UK who combined have massive potential, are laughing and joking too much, their content is poor as compared to that of Owen Jones and Electronic Intifada and many others, who have scripted, daily, informative, well articulated, organised, targeted videos (not reaction, off the cuff, difficult to follow videos laden with school boy mocking jokes) and invite people on 2. It is time for the scholars and duat in the UK to start putting out fatawa on the Arab regimes and commenting on this - if they don't you must put pressure on them, and you must ask them why? Palestinians are being burnt alive and genocided. Al Aqsa is at risk of being taken. If not now then when? We are essentially left without any real leadership here; where is Sh Haitham publically? 3. More working together to achieve tangible, targeted goals; unify with non-Muslim pro-Palestine content makers

Great episode. I am someone who was too young to remember the post 9/11 Guantanamo era. When I reached a certain age, I realised how much this era traumatised muslims. When speaking to people older than me and asking them about that era, I got a sense that there was a lot of fear and ignorance when having conversations about issues related to Guantanamo, Iraq&Afghanistan invasion etc because they would be labelled a ‘terrorist’. This has changed now and the new generation of Muslims are well informed due to social media even with its many cons. I first came across Moazzam Begg on Smile2Jannah’s ‘Declassified’ podcast and was moved by his story. I ended up buying his book ‘Enemy Combatant’ and I can honestly say I have never been more immersed in a book in my life. I then came across CAGE International which is an organisation that helps communities against state oppression and Islamophobia. Moazzam is one of the directors. I highly recommend Muslims to support this great organisation.

Yes I remember 9/11 and the subsequent era that followed. Felt emotional listening bcz we as Muslims just moved on. Thanks for recommending the book. I will order it now inshaAllah

Very insightful and inspiring watch. Alhamdulillah, i feel hope after watching this, simply to see someone who has survived guantanamo and is now actively resisting the repression and aggression against the ummah. May Allah continue to guide him and help him shine a light on the suffering inflicted by our governments around the world, ameen.

Absolutely love these brothers Mozem involved in Cage along with Clive Stafford Smith a human rights lawyer acting on behalf of sister Aafia He’s achieved so much in getting evidence and he’s only represented her for 3 years and that’s after her kidnap and all she has gone through also the amount of Guantanamo Bay detainees he’s got released is phenomenal Men like Mozem and Clive also Dilly are what we need in this world 🤲🏼 I watched Mozem’s documentary on Al Jazeera where he went back to Afghanistan and visited the Bogrum jail he was detained in along with Sister Aafia 🥹🥲 Heart and soul wrenching but amazing him meeting brothers he was detained with May Allah grant all oppressed Jannah and more for standing up for the Ummah of S.A.W

It's so sad to hear about all the pain and suffering she's been through. I hope Allah makes things easier for her and gives her strength. This is a reminder to all Muslim countries that they need to protect and support their people, especially those who are being oppressed or treated unfairly. As a community, we need to do something to help her and others like her. We need to give them aid and make sure that the people who did this are punished.

Re the last question asked in the video - the community priority is to keep building more mosques near other mosques that are underused, empty most of the day and build more extensions and new carpets. Nothing for the local community, except buckets and card readers dotted around the mosque.

May Allah bless everyone involved in trying to get this woman justice. I fear those that know about this and refuse to do anything about it lest on the day of judgement be questioned about it. It’s truly a case of brutal and widespread injustice. There were a few soldiers who operated at Guantanamo bay and have since then reverted to islam, it would be interesting to see if you could use them as witnesses for her case

I can understand the anguish and anger of our brethren in Syria. But I found it dis-concerting to see a photo of individuals posted on twitter allegedly in Idlib, holding a sign in Hebrew supposedly thanking Netanyahu for assassination of Nasrallah. I hope the photo was a fake, designed to tarnish the struggle of the people of Syria and their struggle. I cannot imagine anyone from the people of Sunnah thanking and praising Netanyahu under any circumstances.
@AhmadFakih12326 күн бұрын
It’s actually not fake. The Syrian revolution is part of Israel bigger plan to distablise the region.
@adnanwalid539925 күн бұрын
Nasralla is one of the Netanyahus of the Syrian people. You can't question their pain when their families were butchered by Hezbollat. I hope you understand that yes it might seem wrong in your eyes, but when the world turns blind to the people living in hell on earth, they become resentful and that's their test, not yours living in luxury telling them how to feel.
@adnanwalid539925 күн бұрын
I agree that no Muslim should ever praise Netanyahu, but equally and even more, no Muslim should ever praise Iran and Hezbollat, the killers of way more Sunnis in the past 3 decades than Israel has ever gotten close to in the past 8 decades.
