Luke Loova I miss Luke playing guitar! I remember from the ROWYSO tour all of them were just so into the music. The show I was at you could tell Luke wasn’t 100% (he was definitely sick with some sort of cold or throat thing) but he still jammed out with that guitar and still hit every single note of every song and still sounded amazing. @@kaylawenger1759 They classified themselves as a rock band. There are subgenres of rock. No, they didn't fit in the perceived "ROCK" genre of the 70s/80s/90s but that doesn't invalidate them for having a rock sound. Personally, I would put them as pop-rock.

If you think about it, this song really describes the struggle of making a living off the music industry, just as it is to a toxic relationship. 5 Seconds of Summer loves to play music, but in the end, its not a definitive job and it can fail at anytime. If you make one mistake as a public artist, your fans and sponsors can leave you at any time and or worse, turn against you. People by themselves don't need music; its a necessity. Finding work in a constant market is difficult, especially at an older age, but in the end, it is a reliable source of income. The question asked in the song poses whether it is easier to give in to what you love and ultimately lose yourself, or to give up while you're ahead and live in tolerable circumstances. "Is it easier to stay, is it easier to go?"

@N_H, I feel the song itself holds an illustration of a toxic relationship, whereas there is always a conflict between two lovers, who always fight but are continually coming back to each other.- In relation to my words, I see the same conflict in todays music industry fighting against their artists in favor of modern trends, rather than the content of the artist.
