No hate intended to anyone here, but I see a bunch of comments saying that fans joining the 5sos fam in 2014 are fake fans. Okay, just because you haven't been there from the beginning or prior to 2014 or whatever, doesn't mean you're a fake fan. If so, how? I am so sick and tired of people saying that because I admit it, I joined the 5sos fam two months ago from a friend and I had heard of 5sos before, but I never looked into them until finally my friend showed me a music video and I instantly became attached. And after doing my research, watching old videos and performances, getting to know their personalities etc., I saw how hard they worked to get here and how much they deserve this kind of success and that made me love them even more. Even though I haven't been there from the beginning, I'm not any less proud than someone who has. How long you've been a fan shouldn't reflect how true of a fan you are.

Yeah, it's definitely important to love all the band members (to any new fans reading this, I suggest looking up and watching as many of the band's twitcams as possible. You'll find a reason to fall for each of their personalities.) But we,as their original fans, have to be welcoming of the incoming fans, because that's what makes us different. That's what sets the 5sos fam apart from other fandoms. We're helpful and pleasant to new fans--to everyone. Because even though it totally SUCKS that we don't have the boys to ourselves anymore, we love those four aussies so damn much. The band's success should be a fan's top priority, EVEN if that means carrots come into the fandom. We'll welcome them with arms just as open as the ones we were welcomed with.

Skryaan Why? Louis tomlinson tweeted about them so they got a little more popular. Then they opened for one direction and this year everyone went into school oh my god 5sos! I love 5sauce! They were a struggling band making youtube covers. If they never opened for them they wouldn't be famous. Don't say they probably would've became popular because they wouldn't have. It's definitely important to love all the band members (to any new fans reading this, I suggest looking up and watching as many of the band's twitcams as possible. You'll find a reason to fall for each of their personalities.) But we, as their original fans, have to be welcoming of the incoming fans, because that's what makes us different. That's what sets the 5sos fam apart from other fandoms. We're helpful and pleasant to new fans--to everyone. Because even though it totally SUCKS that we don't have the boys to ourselves anymore, we love those four aussies so god damn much. The band's success should be a fan's top priority, EVEN if that means carrots come into the fandom. We'll welcome them with arms just as open as the ones we were welcomed with.

I'm new to the 5Sosfam, (directioner of 3 years though), and I think all if them are amazing! Just like 1D, 5Sos wouldn't be the same if one of them wasn't a part of it, so they all deserve equal love and appreciation. They really are a talented group, and we need more bands like this nowadays! And their personalities is just the cherry on top! I've been watching tons I interviews and twitcams, and I've been following them on Twitter, and I know they love their fans sooooo much! They all seem like such sweethearts, and I'm excited to now be a part of this fandom!!

Just because they don't know as much about the boys as you do or they talk about carrots and kevin all the time does not mean they are not fans of the band. They are JUST as important on the road to success for our beloved bands. We welcome one and all as long as they're in it for the boys.
