That's pretty slick looking! I despise Oregon's front plate law with a passion.

glad i saw this, as i don't like the look of the way this one sits. Plus cutting the grill, is a no go for me.

How has this held up with washing your car ? Has the water damage any electrical components on the altec show n go ?
@MartiArtisan Жыл бұрын
No issues. I made sure to grease all the connections and do this periodically ever so often

How is it now did it last? Do i need to drilled holes if i put it in the bottim driver side?any suggestions . I need one asap
@MartiArtisan4 жыл бұрын
Ivan Sotelo works great. No issues! Just have grease the cable every now and then depending on how much you use it and the environment you live in. I didn’t drill into anything. Bolted a magnet to the bracket which is then stuck to the metal brace behind the bumper. Then secured with zip ties as a back up. Haven’t had a single issue even at “highway” speeds

@@MartiArtisan how about if u want to put in the bottom do i have to drill ?
@MartiArtisan4 жыл бұрын
Ivan Sotelo you’d most likely have to drill if you put it on the bottom of the bumper. Really not much to attach to.

Where'd you get the license plate bumper hole plugs?
@MartiArtisan5 жыл бұрын
Cominus 06 I got them at a local automotive part store, but it seems like a lot of people go through bumperplugs.com and are satisfied

@MartiArtisan3 ай бұрын
@@michaelshane1257 I sold the car a couple years back but am in contact with the owner. Plate still works! Every now and then you have to electric grease the connections and lube the track

I'm confused on how y'all keep the motor in place. Do you think this will still work with the Ground FX splitter
@MartiArtisan7 жыл бұрын
Dalton Carter Basically had to make a bracket to attach the track to the front of the opening. Then the back portion of the track is held up with magnets since the only place to mount is all metal. Really hard to describe and or show on video. I didn't take my bumper off for the install. Just have to get a little creative! Yes I don't see why it wouldn't work with the ground fx splitter! As I mounted this in the grill. Can always be mounted under the splitter but it is more likely to get torn off if you scrape and are lowered. Hope this helps

I was trying to figure out if the magnets came with the kit or if it was something you found
@MartiArtisan7 жыл бұрын
Dalton Carter the bracket I use did come with the kit, just had to be trimmed to size. I picked up the magnets from Home Depot, if I remember correct I used two smaller magnets that can hold up to 10lbs each. The magnets were the type you can put a hook on and hang things with. Basically had a little hole in them where I threw a bolt through the magnet and the bracket. Like these, but a lot smaller www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-65-lb-Heavy-Duty-Round-Pull-Magnets-96354/203613136

What type of blue is that? And where did you get it painted?
@MartiArtisan5 жыл бұрын
Jordan Raynor actually it’s a factory color! The color is called Aqua Blue Metallic. Limited production color that only came out in 2010. It is pretty hard to find. The cool thing is that it changes colors/shade of blue depending on the lighting conditions

Marti Artisan That’s cool man. Dam was hoping I could find that color at a paint shop lol.

So how has it held up?
@MartiArtisan7 жыл бұрын
Gerardo Prieto has held up great so far. No problems whatsoever! I wash my car multiple times a week and water has not been a factor, also it seems to hold up to high speeds when fully out and on display! I will be doing an update video in a month or so.
