Both bands and dance squads have done a great job. I have witnessed a lot of HBCU's this year and all have really stepped up their game and really utilizing the talents of these students! Wow it's just nothing but amazing!

Mississippi Valley State band is the one band I’ve been wanting to see rise up and they are definitely rising up to the occasion like never before!! I truly love how far they have come!!! And I love that Alcorn’s band size has been the biggest I’ve ever seen, and they coming with the smoke!!! Great music selections, and Great 5th quarter between both bands in a respectful and kind way!!!🔥🔥🔥

The GGs were better than the Satin Dolls, and it wasn’t even close!! They displayed far more musicality and were more polished, precise, and synchronized in their dancing. Also, they exuded more CONFIDENCE, energy, and presence. They looked like a cohesive TEAM-and were just better in every aspect. Kudos to Captain! 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️🇺🇸

I’ve never met a Captain so on point from Beginning to the ending. The consistency. The selections, the musicality, the cleanliness… Did she go to some Captain training over the summer or something. The first time they stepped out til this 3rd game. I haven’t found not one error. The crabs looking like vets.

I really enjoyed Valley’s song selection. Party All The Time was definitely an unexpected choice. GGs y’all look good ladies. Great count selection thrown by Jonelle (SP?). The uni was definitely giving a little extra with the stand routines, and any time the squad was turned away from the field. Love it.

An obvious improvement from zero quarter. I almost gave 5th quarter to MV but Alcorn got better as the songs picked up. MV got worse but pulled through. Im giving it to Alcorn on behalf of the GGs to be honest

I love me some GGs I just wish Nelle would’ve played around with the formations a bit more. The SATIN DOLLS look great. I think the “2-at a times” took away from the edge. They should’ve came prepared with some type of stand routines and more formations. I want to see them pop out…

alcorn clarinets and piccolos MUST tune both within the section and then the WHOLE woodwind section must tune to make sure those upper register notes are in tune. they sound horrid when they are not. the first song....yall threw the 1st song off with that simple mistake of being completely out of tune between the piccolos and clarinets. use your ears students!!!! that said i'll go with alcorn. half of valley stuff (as usual for me with bonds) the arrangements are so....idk i dont know what they be playing. and his bands are never really clear on articulations they are just loud.
