+Dalion Casique, please take another look at the video. If you'll notice, the camera man who filming SU is in the stands, way on the other side of the field. The assistant camera man filming JSU, is in the stands as well, and way on the other side of the field. You can tell when the camera man starts zooming in, and out on the bands. Garrett, and crew were pretty fair filming both of the bands here. Both bands sound AMAZING!

+Mahthias Fountain camera's were clearly closer to SU....JSU is easily the most powerful band out there - they just very inconsistent this year. SU was the better band...though here.

+Dalion Casique I agree, JSU was much louder. I was there. The only problem JSU had that made them sound a little weak at times was the number of trumpets they had compared to lower brass but they are adding 20 more trumpets and 5 more tubas so that shouldn't be an issue this year.

I'm a die hard boom fan, but for the first time I prefer SU. JSU was great, but the balance and arrangements need work. Trumpets were drowned out on almost every piece. They were definitely cranking and entertaining. SU has balance, versatility, and complex arrangements. Jill Scott piece was a musical orgasm lol. SU was cranking too. This was close but SU was better.

oh... final analyst ... JSU has a good book. But A LOT of those songs are not 5th quarter material. ... Those are to first quarter songs. 5th Quarter is hype and quality .... I think they are still TOO technical. They lose the crowd with some of it. The fans try to get in it, but they cant. Now I will say JSU plays the songs that are called very well. Just not 5th Quarter material.

Mississippi I know you love your band(J-State). I like them to. But let's be honest? They not FUCKEN WITH SU. J-STATE needs more TRUMPETS AND BETTER ARRANGEMENTS. You guys have the same problem as TALLADEGA. Try battling them, because SU on another level.

This is a disgrace. The 5th quarter is the UW Madison band and the words "5th quarter" should only be used when referring to them. Not these crappy bands that just BLAT there trumpets and sousas
