that was good to you?

I mean it was better competition in the Zero than in the 5th!!! But again JSU still was the better band in both! Grambling just wasn't producing what they did in the Zero

@SonicBoomC988 жыл бұрын
Grambling actually doesn't sound to bad. At times they seem to have adopted a semi-MEAC sound
@drequynnrod50778 жыл бұрын
what does a MEAC band sound like?? because honestly MEAC bands are a tad bit clearer but gsu always stood from others everyone does need omg power just imagine if all bands sounded alike now that would be boring example bcu vs FAMU. their fifths are like funerals.
@SonicBoomC988 жыл бұрын
Drequynn Rod You cannot be serious? GSU always stood out. All the bands sound different, but you have to admit to some similarities with a lot of the MEAC band's sound.
@drequynnrod50778 жыл бұрын
SonicBoomC98 gsu style as a whole stands out. Yes very serious you can ask any hbcu director they will say gsu style stands out because it's different. Wth is a MEAC band sound because all MEAC bands sound different while the swac is out here trying to compete with I can get louder than you.alot of bands lost their roots because they're trying to be something they're not and I'm glad gsu is one who doesn't follow and copy cat to be power FFF sound. Bayou classic 2015 gsu proved that.
@SonicBoomC988 жыл бұрын
Drequynn Rod It might be different but it's nothing special. And at times GSU tries to sound just like every other band in the SWAC. MEAC bands sound somewhat different, but I can definitely hear similarities in a lot of songs some of them play. All SWAC bands don't sound the same either. I can tell who is playing without even being in the same room, and let's not act like GSU hasn't fielded some sub-par bands many, many seasons.
@drequynnrod50778 жыл бұрын
here we go bringing up past seasons and gsu doesn't try to sound like anyone never will it happen either and then saying sub par seasons bruh JSU called themselves a top band but couldn't put on a good show in years it took 2012 to fix but jsu best show in years had to be Honda but u cant judge other bands and not point out the others u ever think why battles like SU vs JSU work it's because they're similar playing styles and gsu vs uapb work well because of styles but come on imo every swac band is doing well just as last season bit folks seem to always nid pic

The First song JSU played put them in a different class from GSU. Outplayed and outmatched. GSU is trying. But they know what needs to be done. That staff has to go. Get some new blood in there that can recruit. Plenty in the Shreveport area to choose from.

weak? they were clearly heard yesterday everyone doesn't wanna be a power house omg FFF on all song band.
@MitsuUltra8 жыл бұрын
+Drequynn Rod and that's why you avoid space. intonation is heard a lot better when you stand as one and not as separate units.. they stood too far apart and it started to sound a bit muffled

I really didn't think I was gone have the balls to say this , but Grambling I been out of school 10 years now, played in your band and we played cant let go when I was there.. with that being said, can yall plz ''let it go".. Not trying to down u guys but playing that in the 5th quarter is not a good song to battle off of.. It kills every good vibe I have for you guys for a 5th quarter battle when yall play that song in the stands.. and I been holding all of this in for years but I would like to see improvements and to tell you guys to keep striving for greatness tho GSU.. Sorry if that was a little to harsh..I'm just being honest

JSU still not beating SU but they seem to be dominating the 2nd. my only complaint about JSU is the when they play they are super loud for them whole notes and half notes but when it comes to playing part that requires you to articulate they shy away from the volume like they not sure or something.
@craigpollard52117 жыл бұрын

what field show songs did they play in the stands. Drill- I will die for you. dancers Working day and night and then dance routine where do you hear any of those songs? can't let go an boogie wonderland were songs on the field TWO WEEKS AGO you do know others use old field show songs as stand song bimbo

The very first some Gram played, they drilled to this song, first game!! Am I wrong??
@portcity19118 жыл бұрын
And answer this, is gram folder weak?? There arrangements sound like beginner level music. I am sick of them playing neck and GSU theme! Where is the creativity and outside the box tunes ??? Like I say time for Doc and company to retire, and hire Scroggins, and let him develop a younger staff.. Oh, have Ricardo Davis over the percussion, that's a bad man!!!!
@mckeychee8 жыл бұрын
Did you not hear JSU play Neck first, GSU just replied and played it back, also "Can't let Go" was not played as a field show tune for THIS game so whats the problem...undercover fan huh. Both programs did an excellent job continue in the right direction GSU and JSU!!!!
