I liked jackson in the zero quarter of the boombox but that 5th against southern was definitely not their best work. I loved everything they played at crankfest but I was not feeling them compared to southern at the boombox.

They have a really nice, solid program with nice field shows. It’s those small details that could push them to their ultimate greatness. PVAMU vs UAPB should be as big as JSU vs SU based off of size and setup

I’ll comment on UAPB since we know who took the W. Pine Bluff used to be one of the more formidable HBCU bands out there. In the early 2000’s those arrangements were 🔥🔥🔥. Their energy and style was unique. Mellos were 👍🏾 and they had a fanfare for every song. I don’t know what happened to them. After 2009, it just went 💤💤. Bring back the old UAPB. I used to be a fan.

😬!! Man, UAPB will ALWAYS be my top favorite marching band ever, but when you say W or L are we talking about sound quality, screaming, song choice etc.??? As far as sound quality, UAPB has it 🙌🏾 you can never really here JSU's woodwinds because you have some of the best "screamers" I've ever heard behind them. You can always hear UAPB's entire band, even if someone was playing a triangle 😂😂💯! I definitely agree UAPB needs new leadership and to recruit more because JSU power is like none other like.. My GAWD! That 1st song they played I was like 😱 and actually got chills. Ultimately neither won or loss in my opinion, they both did a phenomenal job! 💯

I miss the 2000s era of UAPB their sound was unmatched. We can expect UAPB to be what JSU, SU, Alcorn, or A-State does. Watch when FAMU or BCU step on the scene the band world will be at a balance.
