Another good thing and I really suspect it's Simmons' doing: control with power. I notice whenever he has conducted any band, he is actively pushing them through it but doesn't let any band he conducts go for broke. It's great because it means your bands playing the music and not trying to play AT the music.

TSU needs trumpets and maybe new horns. They have less than 20 trumpets and are rebuilding. Prioritize trumpets for recruiting. It's been awhile since TSU has done that. The mellos tuning issues...yeah I think that's those Kings. After a good 8yrs the tuning suffers. They need a good amount of repair.

I have a question, This is essentially the same footage, at the same distance, at the same sound, at the same angles as Alabama State's Media Team put out over 13 hours ago. What exactly do we be waiting for? At least if you're gonna be tardy to the party, come with something different/unique about yours that the other clips that are already out, don't have. Mics/sound, better quality, clearer picture or SUMN! Make the wait worth it, or there's no reason that we have to wait the way that we do. By the time yours hits, we dun seen it already.

Texas Southern did *not* produce the same quality of sound or clarity as ASU. Not even close! TxSu needs to work on the quality of their sound and execute their music better. The arrangements are ok but only as good as you sound playing it. Both have room for improvement but I think ASU got this.
