It's always absolutely captivating watching an HBCU marching band. They put so much passion and soul into each performace, not to mention their drill is always great. And I've never even seen drum majors do anything like this in my years in marching band.

I did it for 4yrs myself. Our band was amazing and we practiced 5 days a week 4 hours. Most bands have section leaders and each section practices on their own. There is a field sheet that has all the markers and counts to step in time to the music.....its alot...lol....but I loved every minute of it!!!

I'm a life long FAMU Fan, I just think it's great for HBCU bands to still going strong. In parts of Florida band & other programs have been decimated by local school boards. My high school band had over 150 musicians not counting auxiliary, they changed the school and you're lucky to have 50 members total.

JSU has never disappointed me. I miss going up there years back to the battle of the bands taking my kids and everyone enjoyed it all the time. The three hours it took to get there was worth it and then some. Hopefully one day we will enjoy that experience again once things settle back down.. praying for it to do so and the city can be that place of what it's capable of being without the nonsense. We must all do better

I love marching bands. Participated in junior and senior high-school 1963-69. Baton twirled, too. I have always wished the NFL super bowl halftime would feature one of these amazing bands instead of those creepy rock show disasters.

I Marched in Drum and Bugle corps when there were hundreds across the country in the 60s and 70s... we didn't compete with bands... but the hours and hours that go into practices... saved me when I was a kid. What they do is sooooo good... I love watching them... listen to that sound.. the marching precision... man...hard enough to march and play... they step the game up.

I truly enjoyed listening and watching the whole show!!!!! I saw professionals entertaining their audience with dignity, respect and pride for their school. The dancers were fun to watch and I could see they had talent , felt comfortable in their uniforms and were having fun. I truly enjoyed the band performance especially how they moved into their different formation! I know they put in a lot of practice🤩😓
