Good efficient setup buddy. I just upgraded my honda gx 390 from a 4gpm to a 5.5gpm by just adding a new pump to the engine. Im not sure if you already do this but a good trick for downstreaming is using the xjet m5 twist for soaping, and then switching to the xjet (the one with the brass barb coming out the bottom) for rinsing. The orifice hole on the xjet is small and doesnt allow the injector to pull chemical so its basically a manual on and off switch without having to walk to the trailer.

I was thinking about buying that same trailer off of market place, but im deciding to just save my money and build my own. These arent bad for 5k, but i just want to be hands on with the build.
@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC6 ай бұрын
Yeah it isn’t worth 5k. The guy was really nice, but it was definitely a rushed build and the softwash setup was pulling straight bleach because they don’t use metering valves. You could get more for 5k in your own build for sure.
@dre_withthek16556 ай бұрын
@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC yea I figured it wasn't. I been doing alot of research on stuff and I saw I could get all the Tanks for around $150 bucks so how was it worth 5k.

Great video. I watched the bypass injection video and was wondering about the using of a 12 volt system. Seems that the 12 volt system requires changing out the pump often vs is your pressure washer with the injection system is more cost effective. I know with that method you have to walk back to the trailer to turn the knob for water What are your thoughts
@RustyShackle-v9uАй бұрын
Whats the opinion on just using the 12v for pre and post treatment instead of downstreaming? I like the idea of less wear items with just running water through the pressure side.
@DiamondHandsDetailingLLCАй бұрын
I pre and post treat with 12v or my electric pump sprayer sometimes. I usually don’t downstream treat because it a strong enough mix.

You could always swap out your 4pm pump for a 5-5.5gpm pump on that engine… you will have less pressure but should still be sufficient for everything you mentioned. Save from buying a whole different machine that way.

Only a Matter of time before someone does on the highway with you running a single axle trailer with that tote. If you’re not driving with that weight you’re still filling up on a job and that’s too much weight for that trailer. As far as the small machine, yeah man, if you wanna do the job right and quick and 8 gallon permanent machine is the way to go there’s no way you’re doing two or three jobs a day with that little machine and doing it the right way
@wvusmitty17334 ай бұрын
Nice setup 💪🏼 Where did you get your proportioner valves…? Link?
Do you think that the reason the sh doesn't corrode the trailer as much when aired out is because it being exposed to air and not in a closed container weakens the chemical?
@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC6 ай бұрын
Doug Rucker has a video about venting your SH tank on his channel. He explains it better than I do. From what I can tell, venting it may actually keep it more stable if you store your trailer outside. There’s some controversy behind it, but the corrosion seems to be a lot more manageable since I added the vent.

I have a 5x8 Trailer and was debating on converting it. I bought a tank like that to put on it. Just need to figure out how to plumb it. I was going to run a very similar soft wash system as well. Without batch mixing. Are you using that 20" surface cleaner with the 4GPM without an issue?
@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC5 ай бұрын
Yeah thankfully I’ve never had to batch mix. I do a lot of down steaming and only usually break out the 12v to pre and post treat concrete. And that’s actually a 16” BE cleaner. I had a knock off 20” and it did okay but the 16 definitely runs better with the 4gpm.
