@@blakejustice8212 make sure everything is torqued down to spec. Those are common issues when replacing injectors

Thanks for posting this. I have a 2009 dodge charger. I was told I have a bad fuel injector. I thought I needed a tune up lol. my engine light is on. .the car shakes..it's horrible. I was about to go buy a whole new car. I feel so much better after watching this

I sure hope you told the person who bought it about the problems. Guy who sold me mine did not, and the next day it wouldn't start because the FICM was bad. He knew it too. Hope you're not like that. Making someone pay you for your junk, is a terrible and dishonorable act.

@@myusernameis654 I’m delving into the money pit bought 7 months ago a beautiful 05 Harley Davidson F250 2nd owner isn’t in the slightest mechanically inclined thought it had a headgasket leak bought the truck without even looking at it just had one bad injector fixed it ran amazing for about 2 weeks then a massive rain storm hit causing some damage to the wiring harness that I haven’t been able to pinpoint 100% splayed the harness open a few messed up spots re did it no ficm sync replaced sensors truck has only ran 3 of the 6 months I’ve owned it due to wiring finally got pissed at the issue figured it’s probably an issue with CAN 2H or CAN 2L circuits at the pins shoved Vaseline in the connect put it on extra tight truck cranked perfectly ran great then just this week parked it at work injector on the passenger side gave out flooded cylinder pulled glow plug tried starting no joy gotta tow it home now but I’m going to rebuild injector up part of the engine mines particularly easy to work in due to 90% of everything being aftermarket and dual electric fans easy access what I paid for the truck I figured if the engine blew up the aftermarket transmission in it I could recoupe money spent on it but I’d never sell this thing I love it to death 700 horsepower at the rear wheels non VGT 175/30 injectors 70 psi boost stage 3 intake manifold 5 inch straight pipe

Cyl 5 gives some fits when she's not warmed up. Will be doing a full teardown at the end of the month or beginning of next month. Seem local I'm also in the Philly area

@@messmerjos oh that's funny you are so close. Cool man. Good luck with your teardown. Remember to torque to spec and to bleed any air left in the system when you are done. And only use motorcraft injectors.

Anybody buying a 6 o from anybody should be aware of the three problems that they have injectors Turbo an EGR I should also add head gaskets and head studs so don't believe you're buying a cream puff even if it looks good not to say that it's not a good motor because it is

It is a good motor. Don't forget the FICM! Another super common failure.

Mark Murphy sounded great for about a month, faulty part, one injector exploded in cylinder, warranty replacement was dysfunctional.. sold the truck lol. 6.0s

Chris Reaney so it had engine damage? My truck sounded the same. 4 were bad so I replaced all eight of them. $2,200 down, truck is still at the shop

Not really engine damage. It was the injectors themselves that were faulty. May be a late answer here, but I've heard tell that you should only buy motorcraft injectors. That was my mistake.

1:48 I have that sound on my audi 3.0 tdi.. and intermmitent shake on idle.. and in last month it wont start at first sometimes.. then i cycle the key and second time it starts right up normal but with a blueish smoke.. can that be anything other than injectors? Thanks

If it's a 6.0, the injectors are a pretty safe bet. Could also be the FICM. Both things failed for me. More than once.

When cold My truck cranks for 15 seconds and then just shoots a ton of white smoke and then starts up and runs really good don’t know if it’s a bad Hpop, injectors icp or is it the glow plugs ?

I did the injectors, bled the air and whatnot, just defective I guess. Second time I let Ford do them, they still shit the bed anyway. Sold that truck ASAP after that. Had already sunk like 10 K into it. These trucks are so sensitive because of all the government regulations. Everything has to be perfect for them to run right, and the world ain't perfect.

Mine almost mirrors what yours is doing. I never accelerated it like you did but I am going to try arch oil before I swap out the #2 injector. I was just curious as to if it mattered to what you do for maintenance. I love the motor just hate the little things about it. Before I sink 10k its going to become a cummins.

Trying the additive is definitely the way to go, but don't expect it to work immediately. Give it 500 miles or so, then change the oil again with the additive. You should notice a different at that point. Also try running some biodiesel, even 1-5% will make a huge difference.
