+Carnage Canddy-Oh, you have no idea how livid I was over the BS pertaining to how they handled discarding Angela away like a piece of trash unfit and unworthy of ever coming back. It's not that they broke up at some point before Girl Meets World and never got back together-it was the fact that after all the struggle Shawn and Angela fought in order to stay together, that they decided their relationship was worth surviving, Angela dumps him. No, not really even dumps him. I don't even think she gave him the courtesy of a phone call. She just never talked to him again, never bothered to tell him she got scared of getting too close to him (which was just BS as well) and didn't want to continue their relationship after all and he had to eventually figure out years later, she did marry and have a child of her own. It's just plain damn insulting to Angela and to Shawn that ultimately, neither of them cared about each other in order to make the effort to reconnect again, even if it was to break it off, and to add insult to injury, after Cory fought so hard to become Angela's friend outside of their relationship to Shawn, that she never bothered to contact Cory and Topanga again either, not even to catch up and see how their kids were doing. The whole thing was a pitiful excuse to clear the way for Shawn to marry Maya's mother scot-free while it leaves Angela pretty unlikable and actively contemptible.

The world changed after 2012 something happened to the world after that....I'm so happy to have grown up in the 90s, I'm a 87 baby so the 80s and 90s for me baby 😁...Its a gift to have grown up in the 2000's even ❤🙂.....kids who didnt get to experience these times will never know how great the world was in those years. Sure things we have today are cool, like electronics and also graphics that we never had then...we have alot of cool stuff, but the 80s and 90s were pure magic and fun to grow up in. The movies, music, the worlds ppl...our style everything about it will forever be the greatest years in history, it'll just be a memory for us but a beautiful one. I'll never forget me growing up watching all the good cartoons that dont exist today 🙁, the movies and disney movies..the music...the celebrities..thats why ppl look back on it so much because everything back then are pure classics. Today they make awesome movies and ok songs but everything then was real and the ppl all got along better. Today the world is so out of control, everything is fake..manic even. I could go on n on...if I had a chance to do it all over again I would. All the good music has been done, all the actors and musicians have done all the best movies and songs already...the shows then were even better, they had heart felt situations that arent the same today, the cartoons were cute and I'll definitely end this with saying nothing will ever compare to the years before 2012, if anyone got to grow up in any years they should have been 80s and 90s...❤ Ppl would probably say I'm wrong but am I? Ha, I don't know. Wat y'all think? Let me know 🙂

Katy just lacks the intellectual part that made Angela such a great character and a great match for Shawn. Shawn and Angela was deep, Katy and Shawn are just superficial. But at the same time Shawn's true love on that show was the daughter he found in Maya, Katy was just a throw in because she's Maya's mom. And don't get me wrong, I think Katy is a good mom, but her relationship with Shawn is so over the top and forced. Angela is still a boss.

Mike 2400 it was forced because they knew they weren't getting renewed for another season so they rushed the storyline to finish the arc before they got cancelled. It was probably a 2 year storyline that they compressed down to 3 episodes.

It wasn’t forced. Because like BMW was about the kids and their experiences it didn’t focus too hard on what the adults did behind the scenes. It’s the same with GMW. Shawn and Katy probably had numerous dates and spent a lot of time together. But the show wasn’t focused on them so they just didn’t show it.

BMW felt so much more realistic as GMW. I mean, you believe the connections they had, while shawn and that mother, and the weird tri-quad angle with minkus and everything. It feld so forced. Also everything had to be sovled after an episode or was put to the background, while the break up between C&T was 4 episodes, and every other incident was given the right amount of time. Not forgetting the better acting (again, not forced) screenplay, and the absurdities were limited to eric, who also could act like a genious sometimes.

Aa Gg I agree. The “lessons” in GMW felt so forced and ridiculous whereas on BMW they could still be in your face, yet they felt more organic and less forced, so it didn’t bug me as much. Like how you mentioned Cory and Topanga’s breakup. I love how they not only did episodes relating to how Cory and Topanga were handling it, but that there was an entire episode just about Shawn and how it impacted him for his two best friends to have broken up.

Awww he's so cute : he went looking for her, taking her by the hand like a little kid, totally freaked out after what he heard. Could they be cutter than that 😍??. I freaking love them together, I never thought I would be so hooked on them but here we are. Whenever he's around her, he became that sweet little thing which either succeed on making her laugh with his silliness, or comfort her still making her laugh... or, in this case, comes totally loosing it and in need of her senses still sassy badass way to calm him down. She's like the last boss, the ultimate voice of reason which will never fail on reaching him and making him come back to sense, which in Cory's case it's a miracle to success on appeasing him once he started. That talks a lot about how much her opinion is counting for him, in other words a lot, such as how important her friendship became onto his crazy existence, way easier to be openly coming to each other whenever they are in need to or simply to have fun now that they are exploring their friendship outside Shawn and Topanga presence. God I love them so much together, plus given that the show lets them be totally platonic without any ambiguity adds to the beauty of it. If in general, in usual TV shows, they would have ruined it adding sexual tension or some crap like that. Thankfully in this show, they are portraying together literally as siblings : sometimes she's the big one, other times it's him and usually they are like twins : freaking love this kind of dynamic. Well, in my point of view, here the show shows us their strength as a foursome and that the nature of their relationship and the feelings the 4 of them feel for each one of them are too well known by the 4 of them (adding Cory now thanks to Angela 😂) to actually make them doubt about it to the point of running their friendship and the foursome in the process : simply brilliant.

I know, I would be completely OKAY if during sometime of this show Topanga and Shawn were seeing eachother and Cory and Angela were seeing eachother. I think they look cute together! It would be cool and interesting since Angela is kinda not BOSSY but stern, head strong, pretty and Cory is the easy, wonderful, nice boy. And Topanga is the beautiful headstrong academic smart girl and Shawn is the more dark backgrounder, hot, poetic, tough guy. Just sayin, opposites attract! ;)

I remember when I was younger watching the show I fell in love with it first episode I ever saw and no one in my family could understand why I was so in love with a show about a bunch of white kids and then I made my family sit down and watch a couple of episodes with me and they fell in love with it to and it became a family thing that we did together some of the best times of my life watching Boy Meets World

To find out years later she experienced microagressions from Savage and whoever played Eric was heartbreaking. They called her Aunt Jemima and all kinds of hurtful little digs. She is a phenomenal actress for enduring years of this and being one of the only representations of a Black girl in Disney I ever got to see.

Still confused about Shawn and Angela. The thing is, they didn't really break up, right? She just went to spend time with her dad for a year because she knew she would probably never get that kind of time with him again, and Shawn had to stay behind. But they had gone through a lot to be together and they did love each other, so it doesn't make sense that they would have just dropped it forever at that point. She was only going to be gone for a year, not forever, so why did things just drop off the face of the planet at that time? GMW shows that Shawn was clearly single for a long time, so as much as these two loved each other, why didn't they get back together at any point in between BMW and GMW? I'm just saying they could have come up with a more convincing story of what had actually happened during those 10 + years in between. GMW did a very poor job of explaining what had happened. All we saw was that Angela had married another guy a few years ago and was thinking about having a kid with him, and it looked like she had completely dropped out of touch with Cory, Topanga, and Shawn after college. Kind of lame, it would have made much more sense if Shawn and Angela had gotten back together at some point in between, actually realized they weren't right for each other, and then broken up.
