I'm doing the exact same thing, trying to learn as much as possible before I pull the trigger. I can't lie I'm addicted to that 6.0 whistle, every time I hear one I just smile.

You can run like 450 hp before any longevity loss.

We have a couple 6.0s with around 300,000 and more. The one that is over 300k hauls all of the time and runs on a performance tune all of the time. They aren’t that bad

@@dannysavagedraftguru I’ve owned plenty of them and have a obs as we speak you can make them fast buddy it just costs a lot and it’s a lot less to bullet proof a 6.0 then to wake a 7.3 up

Soon as you go bigger than 200% nozzles on a 7.3 the idle character and injection noise in my opinion makes it no longer nice to daily. The i’m hoping the perfect set up for me is 250-100% , my compounds, dual disk, stage 2 RCD cam, CNC stage 2 Hpop, rods, and girdle. 🤞 Just haven’t been able to afford rods. I know some would say stock forged rods are good but it scares me with how fast the power comes in. Would definitely like to hear from Mario more on 7.3s or Brian Jelich.
