There was a crowd rush due to violent fights and a gun scare at the Pride celebration in Philadelpia this year, 2024. As I was running, all I could think about was the Pulse shooting. I don't understand how this is still happening.... RIP to everyone who lost their lives to this senseless act of violence and hatred.

Yeah the difference is they weren’t ready for a mass causality event.,, I don’t think the cops arriving on scene even knew how many people were dead, just knew it was an active shooter situation. They had to call on police officers from surrounding counties... they needed help and any way to stop this event.

As bad as I feel for everyone who was injured or killed in this terrible attack, gun laws are not the answer. This guy may have had a clean record with no known mental health issues. He gets radicalized and then can go purchase weapons and use them. We don't need stricter gun laws, we need better mental health help in this country.
