I have some friends that almost went to the exact movie theater in Aurora, Colorado 2012. *A man named James Holmes, he purposely picked a movie that was likely to be full and 'had sneaked out an exit door, propped it open, and returned with weapons and other gear, setting off several gas or smoke canisters and then opening fire on the theater audience, killing 12 and wounding 70' *-wiki*. Did you choose your religion or were you born into your religion by your parents? Did God come down from the heavens and make you the sole decider of people's fate because you disagree with their way of living? If you think God is okay with a guy mowing down a crowd of gay people, you're the problem, not them. By the way, the killer was a closet homosexual who was not only using gay dating apps and hooking up with guys, but he frequently went to these clubs as well. He killed these people because he hated himself for being gay, since his religion said it was wrong.

I remember this happened in the early morning hours of June 12th. My son's birthday is also June 12th. I woke up that morning to the news of the shooting and was still half asleep when my son woke up. We both just sat there in horror of what happened. About a half hour later, we remembered his birthday. He just sat there then asked mom, is it ok if we wait to celebrate my birthday until tomorrow? He was in tears and wanted nothing to do with a birthday. The next night we went out and all but he was bummed out all his birthday over that. Today every time it's mentioned, he always remembers the date. I guess it's something that sticks with you. God Bless all those innocent people.. 💔😢

My surgeon's office is literally a block away from Pulse and right across from ORMC- the hospital that everyone went to during this. I went to the surgeon's office the same week this happened and everything was taped off. Pulse never reopened. The building is now a memorial site for all those that perished that night. Last I went passed it, the Pulse sign is still up but the memorial is seen very clearly on the exterior of the building even driving past it, as the building remains locked up. The entire street in that area, Orange Ave- the main road in downtown Orlando is lined with pride flags.

Probably a coping mechanism, caused by the disbelief and shock once they heard it. Many people will act weird, do weird things, and such, when remembering or reliving events that were shocking or traumatic. It is not something that is done on purpose. And no, that didn't look like a genuine "I'm happy" smile.

@@bayleenicole2096 They probably get hundreds of calls per shift and eventually become desensitized. Someone calling 911 does so when things are hectic, once in a blue moon. I have no idea how we going to teach them to answer every call with the same energy, empathy and passion that each person and call deserves. They are, after all, there to 'Protect & Serve' the part of serving and service is to do so with some freaking enthusiasm!

I seen some text that went on for 30 minutes while people were trapped in the bathroom so I wonder why people didn't decide that if the shooter comes in here this is what we gonna do? I mean you know you gonna die if you do nothing so why not go on the attack? Believe me I understand that it's easy to say what you will do after the fact but at some point you gotta do something
@akbarshabazz-jenkins7847 Жыл бұрын
First off, many of them were panicked, frozen in fear, and in shock, and it's hard to think rationally in the heat of the moment when you're not trained in how to handle those kinds of situations. Secondly, there was no guarantee they were all gonna die if they didn't act. For all they knew, the police were close to killing him and rescuing them...like they should've been.

Of course some (christianity and islam) have commited more crimes (endess crimes both of them) but they are all preventing humanity from florishing. The reason why we cannot cure cancer with a simple pill, travel from New York to Australia in minutes, not have polution, have longer life expectancy, etc, etc, etc... is mainly because of religion.
