Nice guide dude I only have 2 questions I asked a friend he is a mythic raider and he said that destroction only maked good dps when you have gs item lvl 707. Is that right because I did the same rotation as you and can only make 35k with itemlvl 698 And I have another question during fight do you generate 3.5 embers or all four.

This is such a great video. I started a Destruction Warlock because of this and love it more and more. I also started using ElvUI thanks to this video and love it. I have tried everything and can't get it to look exactly like this though. A few questions I have are... -How do you get the UI to retain the same buttons for your character bar? (Portrait, Spellbook, Talents ect) I'd love to keep those original ones for easy clicking. -Also how did you get Recount to look like it's built into ElvUI? -Last question, how do I make a transparent chat window so it's just text?

Hey man thanks for the video! First off: Dark soul: Is a CD you would choose to pop whenever its available just to maximize the uptime or do you rather wait to pop it at the same time as other procs such as trinkets? Secondly: For our AoE rotation with shitloads of adds the roation is fairly easy. But when faced with say 3-4 adds would you rather havoc and continue the normal rotation or use fire and brimstone?

Hampus Jörnmark With 4+ adds FnB is better if they're stacked well enough. Also, if you are sitting on a DS charge and you regen your 2nd one back, you pretty much want to use it on CD unless saving it for something that's going to happen VERY soon (an important add spawning), but if you have 1 charge and the other is regenerating, there's no need to just pop it on CD. Exceptions to this are double DS with bloodlust, or double DS in the execute.

+nlnlnlable For Destruction I would run DSI + GSR on Hellfire Assault, Socrethar the Eternal, Xhul'horac, Mannoroth, and Archimonde. I would run DSI + Class Trinket on everything else.

im still running with glyph of havoc but i've heard a few other warlocks recommend against it, though they have not been able to explain to me why exactly to drop it nor what to replace it with. do you have any thoughts on this? Divinorúm - Nagrand-EU

+novastyleNL You don't want to run the glyph because you get more out of not running it. The glyph is a 50 second cooldown for only 3 more charges of Havoc, where unglyphed you can have a Havoc 3 times in that period for a total of 9 charges. So 6 charges with a 50 second CD, or 9 charges with a 15 second CD between each. It also makes it harder to properly time your Havoc for things like Shadowburn cleave because sometimes it's going to be on cooldown, because you have it glyphed. Whereas without glyph it's likely not going to be on cooldown. As for what to replace it with? I always run the same 3 glyphs for most fights - Glyph of Demonic Circle, Glyph of Eternal Resolve, and Glyph of Siphon Life. If there is a situation where you need to slow/kite adds, Glyph of Conflagrate is a good option.

Wondering on your opinion on trinkets, I'm currently using Orb of Voidsight and Fragment, I have 715 Sandmans and I'm hoping to get Insignia soon, I'm 714 And I only pull about 50k on average mobility fights, in your opinion what trinket combo brings the most dps?

+Colby Anderson With the trinkets you have available, Fragment and Orb are going to be the best for fights with not much movement. On fights where your Fragment may be down some of the time Sandman's and Orb are going to be better. You want to aim for a DSI from Hellfire High Council for sure. That combined with Orb is what I use on most of the fights in HFC at this point.

thanks for the guide.. its really helpful.. but I have a question regarding the Soul Link talent and Grimoire of Sacrifice.. It says, if you use Soul Link, it will split 20% of the damage to you and to your pet, but since you used Sacrifice, does that mean ull get the full 20% damage? or are u just after the 3% damage you make that will heal you? why not use Sacrificial Pact? i thought with the same set of gears affliction would pull ahead in most boss fight... unless it is the 1st boss of HFC or fight like Killrogg deadeye. What is the reason that make you choose destro over affliction for this patch? Just curious

Nick Tran After the nerfs to Demo and Affliction set bonuses, Destruction is theoretically outperforming the other two. It's always going to depend on your skill, raid composition, and gear, but numerically speaking Destro is the best.

Pyromancer Sargeras What would you recommend for affliction lock stat priority atm? Websites are all different.

Single target: Haste > Mastery > Crit > Multi > Vers 2+ Targets: Mastery > Haste > Crit >Multi >Vers

Pyromancer Sargeras Since the buff to affliction do you see your stat priority changing to allow for a fluid switch between specs. like maybe going mastery then haste? also what fights (if any) are you using affliction for?
